PPO BOG then off to... Frontierland?

I've read a lot of great advice about going from the BOG res over to 7DMT... but that's about the only question people have been asking. We have an 8:10 res at BOG on a non-EMM day. If i can get the FP for 7DMT, we may skip the rush from breakfast over to that.

Really, we want to knock out Frontierland first, and i'm wondering if any of the other rides start right at the morning music, or if there are any physical barriers from BOG on the way to Frontierland to start on those. Thoughts on this plan?

They will hold you near IASW and not let you past into Frontierland until the park opens. You will probably meet up with the rope drop crowd coming from the hub on your way over.

There are certainly folks here who have been more often and more recently than I have, who will probably be along to give you better info. But the one time we rope-dropped Frontierland, we rode BTM 4 times back-to-back with essentially no wait. IDK about Splash because I had no desire to start my day off in (potentially) wet underwear LOL. But if those rides are your priority, I think it’d be a good plan. I think we went to HM next with hardly a wait as well.

You'll be held in Fantasyland until rope drop in varying spots - sometimes you're held by the carousel, sometimes they let you past IASW, closer to HM, but you won't have much, if any, jump on the RD crowds going into Frontierland. The advantage of a PPO BOG reservation is to ride anything in that immediate vicinity. That being said, we have ridden Splash Mountain 3x in a row at RD with no lines, same for BTMRR, so whether you're coming from Main Street or BOG you should be able to do a lot in Frontierland in the first hour.

I'm agreeing with the previous posters from above. BOG PPO breakfast provides no advantage over the crowds heading to Frontierland from the hub. It's somewhat possible that you could find yourself at a slight disadvantage if you choose to wait at the rope near Small World, and will end up behind the mass of people who wait at the entrance into Liberty Square from the hub.

On previous occasions where we have had a BOG PPO breakfast, we've chosen to ride Mine Train and/or Peter Pan before heading to Frontierland, even if we had a FP for one or both of those attractions later in the day. If Big Thunder and Splash both open on time (which isn't always a given), you *should* still be able to ride both of those attractions after you ride Mine Train or Peter Pan (BTMRR first, then Splash - for capacity and ride length reasons) before there is an appreciable wait time at those rides.

Also agree with PP - would do something in vicinity for advantage of PPO like PP then head to Frontierland and lines should still be short, then head to Adventureland for JC/PoC or Liberty Sq. for HM if waits still reasonable, depending on what else you are doing FP for later. Alternate plan would be to head to Tomorrowland which is a more direct route from Fantasyland, and get Space Mt and Buzz done early, head back to Fantasyland to do a few there and 7DMT FP late morning, and then FP BTM and Splash back to back in early afternoon.

Seems like the consensus is i'd be wasting my time NOT to ride 7DMT or PPF. so i think that sounds good. one of those then off to the Frontier.

You're limited as to where you can go after PPO BOG and there are CM's right outside of BOG asking where you're headed once you leave.
Honestly, even though 7DMT is not on your list, I would do it and then go to Frontierland. You won't have a wait on any Frontierland ride IMO, and can either ride 7DMT for a second time later, or exchange it for something else.

I think this is definitely what would happen. Its actually a disadvantage to come from where they hold you at IASM. I would head back to the hub and go in from there.

We have an 8:05 BOG breakfast. We are planning to do Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, BTMM RR, Splash Mt. w/FP, County Bear Jamboree, Pirates w/FP, Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise w/FP, then Mickey's Philharmagic before lunch. We are doing and additional day and a Christmas Party and will do 7DMT on the second day. I think that this will work well.

I don't RD 7DMT - I only do with a FP (I don't like to stress fight at RD and end up with a 45 minute wait while I know the other lines are growing - stresses me too much). We normally do PP, Pooh, Little Mermaid, HM, BTMR, Pirates and Jungle (depending on crowd levels sometimes - Carousel, Dumbo and Carpets mixed in). This is our before lunch plan - I double back for shows after lunch when it is the warmest part of the day - Tiki, Philharmagic, Country Bear, CoP - they also load the most people at one time so mid-day when the lines are longest that is where we are. We find our FPs for Buzz and Space and fit them in between.
