Hi everyone! We have an upcoming stay at PPH and have 2 view rooms booked. Anyone have any tips on how to get connecting rooms besides requesting them? We'll likely be checking in around noon and I believe the hotel is sold out the night before. I can call in the morning on the way down if that helps???

With the new security set-up I know we have to walk through downtown Disney to enter the parks. On the way back can we cut through GCH from Sephora? Can we use the GCH entrance (by GRR) to exit back to PPH? And lastly, can we cross the street and go to GCH to the Hearthstone Lounge or would we have to walk all the way through DD?

Thank you!!!

I stayed there last week. The route to DTD security isn't as bad as I expected. To save a few steps go out the back of the hotel not the front.
You can exit through both GCH exits you mention without an issue.
If you're going to the Hearthstone Lounge, just tell the CM/security person that monitors the entrance and I'm sure it would be okay.

I'm not sure how GCH security is able to identify which are guests of the hotel. My PPH room key only had my name and dates on it. Nothing noted the hotel I was in.

Almost al the rooms have a connecting option...but I would call in the AM just to confirm.

Yes, you can still exit GCH both from DTD and DCA as always...that is unchanged.

Others have reported that you do indeed need to go around through DTD if headed to Hearthstone. Only GCH room keys and Storytellers and Napa Rose reservation holders can go in the front door (they have a list).

As for connecting rooms, I think if you are willing to wait, they may accommodate. It doesn't hurt to call early so that they can flag your reservation. Our experience was at Gch. We were with friends. We planned on booking 2 rooms together under the same reservation but they couldn't guarantee that they connected. Upon check in, our friends made a note with the front desk. We checked in 2 hours later and mentioned our friends. They did some rearranging and accommodated us. I think we lucked out in that the room was just made available. Had we checked in earlier, I don't think it would have worked

All you can do is ask. Call the hotel directly to put in your request and call again a few days later to confirm it's on there. We went on a super busy weekend in December and were able to get them. Good luck!
