Pp+ vs memory maker?

Seeing today that they are changing to memory maker? We arrive tomorrow and pre purchased photo pass plus. Does anyone know if this changes anything for me? Also we purchased after we paid our final payment so I am supposed to receive it when I checkin. Is it linked to magic band or is it still the card system like before? I'm confused!

I logged in today to buy my photo pass plus and noticed it has chanced (within the last couple of days) to the memory maker? what is the difference? i don't see anything about ride pictures or pictures at restaurants….what gives????? anyone out there know the difference???

It won't change anything. You'll be able to redeem your PP+ voucher it will be converted to the new Memory Maker system and will be offered on both the MB and card. Touring Plans has a decent article on the new system here.

I read the new terms that popped up when I logged in today. Under Memory Maker, it stated that *only* the person holding the entitlement can use it. Does that mean the other people in my party can't? Is this a change?

It will likely work just like PP+, to get the "plus" photos (rides, character dining) the person whose account the photo package is attached to is the band you'll have to use to retrieve them. You have to do the same thing with the PP+ card, you have to use the plus card to get the plus photos.

Perhaps we just found the first real use for Disney sending people multiple bands whether they need it or not. Just give your extra bands to family members if you split up.

So, if I'm reading it all correctly, there is only one plan, right? There is no "lesser" plan by which I can just use the Photopass card and perhaps choose to buy a number of pictures later. Am I right? The way I read it, the only plan is like the Photopass+ which was an all-inclusive ride, restaurants and photo pass pictures to be loaded onto a CD, but there is no other option….or did I miss it?

you can still get regular PP.

No, it refers to the fact that only one person can download photos. If they're friends and family their photos will show up and you can download them but only one person is designated the downloaded.

Separate products. You would have to return pp+ and purchase memory maker. No exchanges or upgrades.

you can upgrade to memory maker if you wanted.

Ok, I'm just a bit confused. On our last trip DW and I bought the PP+, did not do any rides or dinning options that we wanted the pics from. But did find it great to get all the other pics vis PP photographers.

I decided this year to forego the PP+ but buy the PP archive disc at the Pre-Arival cost of $119. This would give us all the pics we want. I haven't purchased it yet but still have it in my shopping cart.

The Memory Maker cost is $149.

Is there a reason I would want to pay the extra $$

P.s. it is only the two of us and we are together for 99.9% of the trip.

If I already pre-purchased the PP+ for my vacation in February, I should be able to still use the PP+ on that trip? I like that I have the ability to get a CD with my photos and that I have the gallery disc. I haven't broke the seal on the dvd yet so I could still return it but it sounds like MM takes away some of the benefits of PP+. So, I'd prefer not to exchange it.

Yeah you'll still be able to use PhotoPass + if you still want to.

Only if you want ride and dining photos. If not then no IMO.
