I thought I was all set...DLH, no conceirge, city view. I decided to check into PP, which I had initially dismissed as too plain. Well, we could have an upper floor theme park view room for less than our city view at DLH....conceirge at PP for just a little more than our DLH room. WHAT DO I DO????? The decisions are driving me crazy, which in turn is driving my husband crazy. Help make peace in our home.....tell me the pros and cons of PP, PP concierge, PP compared to DLH. HELP!

You know what? I personally like PP better than DLH strictly due to price reasons. I personally dont spend tons of time at the hotel or in my room so why pay a lot more? The theme park view is REALLY cool! I have never used their conceirge (the only conceirge I have used is at the GC) so I cannot comment on that.

I have chosen the PP for a better rate than DLH because I am paying for a room (that I am in very little except to sleep) and the proximity to DCA (private entrance across the street) and the theme park views are worth it and a better value then the DLH during many times of the year.

The PP concierge is not as nice as the DL concierge. The DL concierge is in a lounge with a view of Downtown Disney and you can see the fireworks from there. The PP concierge lounge is an internal room with no view at all.

Oh...now that is interesting. I assumed there would be the lounge with the balcony, the piped in music for fireworks....the works!

I think I am still leaning towards keeping the city view room at DLH, even though a bit more than a room with a view at PP. We really aren't in our room that often anyway....just to sleep. Who needs a view then!

We'll be coming to DL from a hotel in Scottsdale where we are doing the equivilent of "concierge" room. Maybe we'll have had enough of club room food anyway and ready to venture out on our own. Has anyone been to the Hyatt Regency Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale? How long would the drive be from there to DL....about 5 hours?

The Hyatt Regency at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale is an awesome hotel...you might not want to leave. It has a great "beach" around the swimming pool, water slides, etc. My DS12 absolutely loves this hotel.
As far as driving from Scottsdale to DL, I'd say it's closer to 7 hours with lots and lots of desert. Used to live in Scottsdale and drive to Anaheim a couple times a year. It's an easy drive, just not too much to see.
