PP Flight at RD?

Anyone done PP Flight at RD recently? If I walk moderately to get there at RD, how long can I expect to wait?

My guess is 10 or so minutes. Of course where you are in the crowd at rope drop. There have been times when we walked briskly and just walked through.

If you're at the front of the RD crowd, 10 to 15 minutes. If you're at the back of the RD crowd, 45 to 60 minutes.

We did this last summer on the 4th of July. We stopped for some photos in front of the castle but it was our first attraction. I almost wish we had done something else first because there was no line at all and I definitely wouldn't have minded taking a few extra minutes in the line. Of course we could have just stayed there and let people pass if they came along but it was our first attraction on our first day of our first vacation in 9 years so it just didn't seem right to want to spend longer in line than we needed to. I know if we had done a different attraction first then the line would have been longer than we wanted so in the long run we made the right decision just was a bit of a bummer to hear soo much about it and basically walk right past.

We did it last June and basically walked on. I was rushing to get photos of the queue before the people behind me caught up.

Was just there this past week at rope drop and had to wait for the slower walkers in my party...so we ended up mid crowd and waited about 20-25 mins. I think by the time we rode and got out it was up to 60 mins. If you walk moderately I think you'll be under 15 mins. It was our first time in the new stand-by queue and so glad we got to experience it since we always do FP for this one.

We just got back. We were there on Sunday, and walked moderately, but were not near the first people in the park, didn't even arrive to the park until the show was mostly through. It was no more than 10 minutes for us, and we ended up riding it twice in a row. The new queue is awesome too!

That said, about two days before we were going they changed the RD time to 8am, it's possible that the crowds were lighter because they hadn't anticipated that?

i ALWAYS walk directly to PP at RD.
and i NEVER wait in a line longer than it takes to walk through it.
and don't feel like you have to rush through the new queue either because others want to take it in as well.

and that is why we do it at RD because we would never consider waiting 60+ minutes or using a FP+ on it.

In May I did RD for 7DMT and then went to PP. Waited like 10-15mn max.

We did it May 21st which was an early morning event day. We were at the front of rope drop and went straight to PP. We really had no wait, just the time to weave throughout the queue.

So, actually my question was going to be about doing 7D at RD next week with a scheduled 8 am opening. If we do 7D first and then go to PP, are we looking at closer to 45-60 minutes? Because I definitely don't want to wait that long. I don't mind 20 minutes, max, as I think the kids will like the queue. And I don't have FP for it either.

Nostalgia. And if you're really into Imagineering, like me, the tech behind the ride vehicles is still, at least to me, fantastic. What a great concept for a dark ride based on Peter Pan and magical flying!

ETA: OP, it depends on when you visit as well. Last trip was in early December and we strolled back to FL and walked right on PPF.

We did PP at RD this morning. We did not rush straight there. About halfway through the welcome show it started lightly raining. By the time we had started down Main Street it was really coming down, so we stopped to poncho up. It took us a little time, as we initially had mixed up whose was whose (I had a kid sized one and was wondering why I couldn't get it over my head lol). We then headed straight to PP and pretty much walked on. Granted, this was an 8am opening, but it was similar to our previous experiences.
