I'm delurking with a quick question. I know Powerade will be available on the course, but does anyone know what flavors will be offered? I'm going to switch from Gatorade to Powerade for my long runs and would love to buy whatever will be at the race.

Thanks! :goodvibes

I have never done the marathon before but at the other Disney races I have done they have had the red kind and the blue kind of Powerade. HTH

At the Minnie 15K, the had the Lemon-lime. Dh accidentally dumped it on his head thinking he had picked up water! :lmao:

This will be my first half so I'm not sure what they have done at the others...

I think it is usually lemon-lime.

I usually don't take the Poweraid out on the course (lemon-lime is not my "flavor") but last year I was so naseaus from Gu after awhile I was grabbing both water and poweraid at the water stops.

Whatever it takes to get to the finish, I guess.

Props to you for working it into your long runs now.

I must be thinking of the bottles that they gave after the finish of the Everest Challenge - sorry.

I normally use my own drinks - I have the fuel belt now and it helps out alot.

Lemon-Lime has been the flavor the last two halfs at WDW and was the flavor this year at the DL 1/2. It is usually diluted with water, but of you are concerned just yell out water?? or Powerade?? ao the volunteers know what you are looking for.

Thanks all! I think I will pick up some lemon-lime before my long run this weekend!

Linda- for me the difference is just a matter of taste. I took a water and powerade at almost every stop for the Goofy. That's a whole lot of lemon-lime if you don't really like it (and I don't, but it's better than the blue for me).

Oh, and you can spill lemon-lime all over a WISH shirt without ruining your pictures. I think the blue or red would make me look like my 2 year old eating a popsicle on a hot day!

I tend to prefer the citrus-y flavors, so if there was something else on the course, I want to get used to the taste in advance! Honestly, I doubt it will really make a difference, but I'm totally Type A and like to be prepared!
