Power of 10: Give Kids the World, (re-) posting link.

Hi all,

Let me start off by saying that I have not logged into Disboards in 6 months! (not on purpose) ... but being the holiday season and end of year, I've been thinking about some possible charities to give to. Then lo and behold I listened to the live podcast from PCC 2.0 and Pete's announcement!! I may be late to the party but I'm excited about Pete's challenge of raising $1,000,000 for Give Kids the World.

I was not on the podcast cruise, I have not been a regular poster here, and I am in no way affiliated with Give Kids the World or Disney, and I am not one to solicit donations, etc, but I think what Pete, the podcast crew, and the whole disboards community is doing is absolutely wonderful, that i wanted to share the GKTW power of ten link again (I know it has been posted before).

Perhaps put the power of the entire Disney Community behind this effort.

A "Podcast" challenge! Reach out to other podcast communities and challenge them to see which podcast community can raise the most for Give Kids The World.

Set up "Team" donation pages for those podcast communities that wish to participate. If someone wants to support more than one team, they must make separate donations.

Pulling in larger Disney Online Community could dramatically increase the overall donation, and be kind of fun to. My first donation, already made, goes to "Team DIS".

When you donate money, you can put the name you want to display (or hide it), and then there's a comment section, where you could put "in memory of jane doe".

Not by individual, but at the top of the page, it has the total given so far (by all donors combined).

I have no doubt in my mind the $1,000,000 goal will be met - the disney community is amazing and wonderful!
