Well I started potty training Kyra properly on Thursday and im so impressed she has taken to it so well, im so glad i waited a extra few weeks as she wasnt quite ready when i last tried.

In 3 days so far we have had 2 accidents, so im really impressed tho she has still yet to do a poopie on the potty.

I found the sticker chart to work really well as she loves putting a sticker on her chart and getting a big Minnie Sticker at the end of the day.

:goodvibes Im really proud of her and im pretty hopeful the days of wearing nappies will soon be over for good :rotfl:

Omg as i was just typing this Kyra has just done her first poo on the potty :):)

Well done Kyra -it makes such a difference not having to carry nappies but you always have to know where the nearest toilet is :lmao:

Im just bit worried bout wacking her on the potty in public...i have to go out tomorrow so i dont know weather to put her in a nappy or risk it and take the potty.

To be honest, the potty was probably used more on car journey's when a toilet wasn't available at such short notice. I did take the potty with me under the pushchair for emergencies and if they needed to go I'd put them on it, NO not in the middle of town but most of the time in public toilets as they were afraid to sit on the big toilets to start with as they felt they'd fall down them:lovestruc, and also at least I knew where my potty had been ;)

I understand what your saying, but you may start confusing her by putting her back in the nappy in the daytime.Once our daughters started potty training during the day we never went back to the nappy(we did but they got confused-so we stopped)We only used to use the nappy for bedtime. Then it got to the stage were they used to tell us they did'nt want it on at night-that it was yucky+dirty.Ours done pretty well dd7 was fully out of nappies by week 3.Dd3 was fully out of nappies by week5.Good luck whatever you decide, just remember to take a change of clothes just in case.x.

Once I start them I never go back. I have had comments from family members "can't you just put a pull-up on her" but its a nappy isn't it....
I started doing Poppy about five weeks ago, she just took her "dubby" off one Saturday afternoon and I'd been putting it off so that was the sign she was ready. Only two accidents down the line and she has gone dry at night too - so it's no more nappies in my house
When I did Anna I carried a Potty everywhere with me - this time it hasn't left the house and she's gone straight to the loo too - bypassing the potty. We went to Chessington yesterday and Legoland the day before which I would never had done the first time around, five weeks in I was still a nervous wreck.
Good luck - hold your nerve :thumbsup2
