Potty training and WDW

I have had both situations, DD1 was potty trained a month before we left for WDW several years ago and I thought she would have accidents, that was not the case, she had very good bladder control. DD2 started potty training two months before we left ( just last year ) and she had absolutely no interest so I continued with diapers until we came back , a month after that she was potty trained!! I wouldn't rush it , my pediatrician told me once before...Nobody gets married in diapers and bottles, he was right!

I have a 2 1/2 year old boy who I potty trained when he was 2. It was a little work, but I just did what alot of peopl say to do. That is to let them run around naked from the waist down for a week and your done. My son had one accident on the floor and that was it. He went on the potty from then on. Don't get me wrong, he is a kid and all kids have accidents. If you are always prepared for them, they aren't a big deal. I din't use pull up much unless it was something important, ie) a wedding. We even kept a portable toilet in our Suburban for long rides in the car. If it is more than a month before you go to MK then I say go for it. But my advise is alittle different then most. That is that you as a parent need to decide it is time. If your child suspects that this isn't for real or it can wait, then it will wait. Be sure that you have the time to devote to potty training for about a week. Once your past that it gets much easier.

Goodluck :D ;) <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif" alt="razz">

Those fold up potty seats pinch, I wouldn't bother hauling that around. Tried to use them with my oldest, he never felt secure on it.

With my second two I didn't even use a potty seat. They went on the big potty or they didn't go! It was much easier, didn't have all that trauma when we were away from home and had to go on big potty. They adjust fine w/o potty seat if you never use it to begin with, plus didn't have that mess to clean up!

Don't forget about the automatic flush toilets. That could scare the you know what out of him!
