Figured if anyone would know the answer to this question, it would be you folks here on the family board.

Here goes ... do the baby care centres at the parks have "potty seat" (the kind that sit on top of regular toilet seats)?

i dont' think so, they do have small potties though. I think I am remembering that correctly.

We also used a foldable potty seat. DH laughed because it had Dora on it and he said we were going to get thrown out of the parks!!!! I got mine at Burlington Coat Factory. It was great on the plane and the airport also.

We used a foldable seat as well. It fit nicely into a gallon ziplock bag with the flushable wipes. I got mine at Wal-Mart.

Thanks for the replies everyone ... was hoping we wouldn't have to lug our own potty seat around the parks ... will have to look into the foldable ones ... hopefully they sell them up here.

I took a foldable potty seat too but we got ours off the internet -- you can't buy it in stores, it is padded instead of the hard plastic.

Here is a link to it: http://www.onestepahead.com/catalog...op%20Sellers&cm_pla=Top%20Sellers&cm_ite=null

When I was researching travel seats, I kept hearing stories of children being pinched by the plastic ones so I kept looking until I found this one. And to be honest, me and several other adults have used this seat in an emergency and the restrooms were less than clean. It works great! It even comes in a small travel bag. This seat is little bulkier when folded (b/c of the padding) but I always just threw it in the bottom of the stroller.

That looks like a nice one. I have the plastic kind too & can see how they might get pinched. My son will be 3 in August & has been peeing in the potty since Sept. but still insists on pooping in his diaper. Hopefully by trip time, I will actually need one of those.

Just to add to tadamom's comment...that same padded potty seat is available online at http://www.myfirstbaby.ca. I see that you (OP) are from Ontario and this company is based in Ontario as well, so you probably won't have to pay as much in terms of shipping charges (as compared to ordering stuff from the States) and the prices are in Canadian dollars (although that matters less these days!).

They don't have potty seats, but they do have the child-sizes potties, as someone else mentioned (except I'm thinking Epcot doesn't, but I could be wrong). One thought, though, is that if you have a newly trained child, you may not have time to make it back to the one baby center in every park to use the potty! We used the foldable seats for a while that others have suggested.

Thanks for the replies everyone ... our little guy (currently 11 months old) thinks he's a big person and actually LIKES to sit on the potty. Sometimes he goes, sometimes he doesn't. By no means is his trained, but "a few minutes on the potty" is part of his afternoon routine. The fold up potty seat looks like it might be the way to go ...

Thanks for the Canadian link!

Do the child size pottys have an automatic flush?

Last time we were in "the world" we were in th MK waiting for Spectromagic when the little girl next to us started fussing, she was probably 3 or 4 yrs old.
Anyway, all of the sudden my DD,23, jumped and said what the ...
the little girl wet her pants and my DD's foot. Her Mother apologized and said that she was sorry but her daughter was afraid of the toilets here in America because of the automatic flush and hadn't gone to the bathroom since 8:00 that morning. If I had known about the care center child size toilet I could have told her and maybe made their vacation a little easier.

Don't forget about the trick that has been suggested on here concerning the automatic flush. Place a sticky note over the censor and then it won't flush on your child -- if they are scared of that sort of thing. I've never had to do that but lots of people here on the Dis suggest it all the time!

We took the post it notes this last trip and they worked like a charm!!! The first year we went my dd was completely potty trained at 2.5 years old and would NOT use the potty seat due to the autoflush and kept wetting her pants. I was so glad when I read about this idea. :worship:

I was thinking about potty seat for this upcoming trip. I will have to find the fold-up seats.
