:wave2: Hi everyone:

I'm not usually here on the Garden boards but I have a question regarding 2 potted plants I just bought today. They're small "pothos" plants. I bought them to put in my basement familyroom that has 3 windows, and in my DH's office which has no windows, currently only flourescent lighting. On the tag, it says it's a light-to-medium light plant. Will these plants do OK down in our familyroom (which does get a decent amount of indirect sunlight) and in my DH's office? Also, they're small now, but will they get really large eventually? I'd like to keep them to a reasonable size. What's the best way to trim them and keep them down in size?

Thank you so much!!! :sunny:

P.S. On the tag it also says these plants are great for cleaning indoor air. Is this true? If so, then that's great :sunny:

I think they will be fine...are they in little pots? You may want to transfer them to slightly bigger pots.

Pothos plants are great plants. You can virtually forget about them and they still do well! ::yes::

Ditto, they're hardy plants and do well with little attention. I'd rotate the office one to a window once in awhile to make sure it gets some light. Good luck::yes::

I've found no reference to the fact that pothos is unique in cleaning indoor air. However, pothos is a hardy plant and if it gets too long, you can snip the top part, 6 inches or so, and it roots nicely in water, and then you can begin again with a small plant.
