Ooooh speaking of 🍿buckets, I want the🍿bucket ornaments!! 😍 they are adorable! But I know TDR has the cutest popcorn buckets, ever! I want them all too! lol!
Since we are getting AP this year (did the math 3x to make sure it will be worth it for 3 trips! 😂), I'm waiting until we go down to FL later this year to buy all the ornaments so I can get the discount. I think this is the only moment so far I wish the discounts apply to us 2nd class DVC citizens (all resale contracts), because I would have saved $1200 on two APs 😭

We have to be optimistic, hoping things will get better in the near future so we can travel the globe again! Just keep swimmin'! Dory 🐠 says so! :rotfl:

I have not seen these bucket ornaments I am a huge Disney ornament collector, im going to look them up now!

I requested her to get me the monsters inc bucket and small world, im not sure if they still have them, but yes i agree they have the cutest ones!

California is a mess right now. We were supposed to go to downtown LA of all places for our anniversary next week, 6 mins away from the riots, and I just cancelled that 🤣🤣

We have a Walt Disney studio tour booked in burbank which im holding onto for dear life because I want to go so bad and I do hope things settle down ✨

When I went a few years ago, they didn't have the Tangled Lantern one and I found it for a reasonable price on Surugaya. Just wait for their free shipping deals. It's like Japan eBay but fandom

In Japan, I found some cute ones at their thrift shops!

Oh man...I saw that riot online and it's scary and insane! :scared:I hope things will calm down soon. Stay safe and I hope you'll be able to go to the studio tour. We did that last year, it's amazing! LOVED IT! 😍 Are you doing a Saturday tour? Because that's the only date of the week they will allow the tour to go into some of the work spaces.

Once you see those🍿buckets ornaments, I am pretty sure you will want them too!😆

The Tangled one is beautiful!! The Peter Pan one though, is also gorgeous w/ that blue! 😍

Paris or Tokyo
Both are great. I'd much rather spend time in Paris-Paris than Disneyland Paris, but if I have more than a week or so I don't mind making my way to Marne-le-Vallée. I only had a handful of tourist days in Tokyo, so decided to do Tokyo things, not Disney things. In part, that was to save TDR for a trip with my daughter. It was supposed to be in celebration of her graduation from Michigan, but she graduated in 2020, so....not so much. Instead we are planning to go after she finishes her Doctorate---probably next May.

Though to be entirely truthful, I also skipped TDR in favor of the Tokyo Swallows. Great fun! Here's an example:

Also: My son is in LA. His report is that things are way overblown in news coverage vs. what is actually happening on the ground. I wouild not necessarily cancel a trip personally, but I have a pretty high tolerance for these sorts of things. I was an undergrad at Berkeley during one of the People's Park upheavals, (the '91 vintage), and have been around the protest block once or twice.

So of course I needed to look these up even though there is no way to get my hands on them lol. Super cute!

As a local, things are very much overblown. I'd avoid DTLA for now (as this is the usual spot where protests kick off, and if you are not local, you may not know what streets/freeways to avoid), but virtually everywhere else is fine. We've had far worse protests here, to be honest.

@Girlstar30 , I hope you enjoy your Walt Disney Studios tour visit! It is far enough away from any action that barring any changes, you'll be just fine.

@Brian Noble @supercarrie Thank you guys very much, my wife has been watching the news nonstop and blowing up my Instagram with protests shes seeing, some of which i pointed out to her were from different times and not this weekend! I am going to pass this information along to her.

I did cancel the downtown la portion because it was literally 6 mins from the national guard situation so I can respect her concerns there, but i told her she was being paranoid trying to cancel our Disney Studio Tour as LA is huge and were not rioting were going to do Disney stuff 🤣🤣

I've been looking forward to this tour for months, im trying to be sensitive to her concerns, but I did tell her I would go alone if need be, Disney is non negotiable 🤣🤣 The traffic is the only thing that concerned me as a possible issue, but she is doing the most when she is a legal permanent resident i really dont get it 🤣🤣

Disneyland Paris was my least favorite Disney park ive been to so far (although my favorite castle) and I agree Paris Paris was much more interesting to visit!

I have only been to Tokyo Disney Sea so I very much look forward to Tokyo Disneyland hopefully soon ☺️ If they still have that Sindbads ride there i think you'll find it very amusing, weirdest Disney ride I ever been on 🤣🤣

There's so many cute ones I want to ask for more but I know she has to bring them back so she told me to pick one after I kept sending her pictures 🤣🤣

I told her I want Gelatoni and Stellalou anything! I am so jealous arghhh, I should have paid to send an empty suitcase 🤣🤣

Funny story when I came back from Paris Disneyland I had bought sooo much merchandise (particularly Ratatouille) they sent me thru secondary inspection and they asked me what the heck all that was for lolll

DLP is also me and my husband's least favorite Disney parks so far of the ones we've been to. Glad we went and experienced it, but we are okay with it if we don't ever go back to DLP. We went to Bordeaux and Paris last year, and prefer Bordeaux. If you love wine🍷, it's a MUST. The Disney parks we are missing are Tokyo Disney and Shanghai Disney. When we went to Tokyo last year, it wasn't an official vacation, so we didn't have enough time to go to the parks. We did, however, went to the TDR area, shopped at Bon Voyage and walked around the resorts that we were able to get into. We were supposed to go back to Japan this year and make TDR happen...😞

When I went to Japan, I was there for a month (leveraged the Dec-Jan timing to "bank/borrow" my pto into a long trip. We spent 4 days in DLR and between my friend and I, we had 5 checked bags flying back, max weight and size plus very stuffed carry ons 😆 already trying to plan a trip to go back and see Fantasy Springs!!

You may be my Disney twin haha. So I have never been to Hongkong Disneyland, Shanghai or Tokyo Disneyland. I honestly have no interest in going to China, but i may just to for Disney parks bragging rights. Im also interested in the Pirates ride rhey got going on there!

I regret not going to Tokyo Disneyland, I was right there! But my friend wasnt a big theme park fan so I got to choose one and Disneysea it was. He also let me go to Hello Kitty land without too much complaint 🤣🤣
