POTD - Wedding!! Now With Directory on Page 1

We totally forgot about signing the marriage license until later that day :rotfl: The pastor signed in my parent's hotel room and Kris and I had to track down our witnesses to sign it in their hotel rooms later that night.

No one took a picture of Kris and I signing it because I think we did it after we got back to our hotel room :lmao:

Well, here we are receiving our Cinderella wedding certificate :goodvibes

I don't even remember signing the certificate! :confused3
And, I don't have a picture of it to jog my memory. Oh well!

we signed our certificate when we went and applied for it at the courthouse?
were we not supposed to do that?

 LOL NOW I remember! We too signed ours at the courthouse!! Then we just gave it to Rev. Tim at the wedding rehearsal and he said he'd sign it and send it in on the wedding day. Was that wrong??? LOL

:confused3 Oh well, I have a valid marriage certificate and that's all I really care about!

That's what I thought we did too, but it's been a few years so I thought maybe I was remembering wrong! I know Rev. Jack signed it, and my brother and my best friend signed as witnesses (even though it's not necessary to have witnesses in Florida). I wish I had a pic of them signing though.

oh you guys have me cracking up - this has turned into the "wait a minute, are we really married?" thread :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I love the pics btw!!!

Okay, I have been lurking on this thread and just looking forward to the day I can contribute, but I HAD to respond to this. When DFTW said we needed a certified copy of our marriage license in order to do our vow renewal, I went into a total panic. I didn't remember EVER having a copy of our marriage certificate/license and thought now would be a hell of a time to find out we were never legally married. :lmao:

I'm glad we werent the only one who totally forgot...we signed it right before we went to jelly rolls the day after:cool1:

That's where we signed ours, too. Our witnesses signed at the wedding and then the Rev. signed it and mailed it. It arrived in the mail a few weeks later looking all official, so I'm assuming we're really married...

We signed it on our wedding rehersal date (20 years ago), but the priest made a mistake and we signed it in the wrong place. When we returned from our honeymoon, we had to go back to the court house and sign a new one....so for an entire week we lived and played in sin...:rotfl:

i never met Cathy, so I never showed her..hhmm, we could have had the big VR without ever having to get married??!! DH will be so upset!

you didn't sign it the day you were married??

um?? better run and get your marriage performed!

We had to sign our marriage license at the courthouse. The pastor was the only one that signed it on the wedding day.

cam..they didn't ask us for our marriage license..

I had to order a certified copy of mine, cause all the paper work for the VR from DFTW said you must have that, well needless to say, I made sure I had it for the cruise, put it with all my important papers and then NO ONE asked for it :sad1: Oh, well, at least i now have a copy.

Ooo, I'm first today! I want to see your "awww!" picture. (You know, people look as your pictures, and there's one that everyone says "awww" to.)

While i actually DO have my marriage license handy, it's good to know that i don't actually need it. :lmao:
