POTD Picture of the Day For Brides to Be

I'm having two veils. one fingertip length and one cathdral length. The cathdral one will come off right after the formal pictures. The cathedral length has flower beading along the edges. I chose this fingertip length b/c I've always wanted a veil with lace trim. it looks much nicer in person!

Yeah, one I can play along with. I don't have my veil yet but I'm going to do a birdcage veil similar to this:

I'm also going to do a fascinator (aka a hairpiece similar to the one in the picture above) but I'm not sure what design yet.

My dress is San Patrick by Pronovias. I understand that Pronovias makes 5 or 6 veil styles per year- then matches them with various styles. So I think it likely that our veils are the same. The trim looks exactly the same.

this is mine..it is actually darker blue in person. It is Marine...unfortunately that is not me in the veil

How are you wearing your's? Underneath an updo? I still haven't figured out what to do, because I don't like the frilly bits over top where the comb attaches to the veil. I know I can attach a new comb, but at this stage in the game, I don't have time to do it.

I have my hair trial next week, but I'm definitely wearing my hair up, and I agree with you about not liking it at the top. I may go with a lower type of up-do...more old fashioned looking. In that case, I would probably attach the veil over the up-do, but still about half-way down on my head.

As you can see from the picture it has that gather right under the rear so I'll probably do a simple pick-up style bustle probably similar to this:

I won't really know till my dress comes in and I can play with it when I go to get it altered (which won't be for at least two more months )

I'm not bustling. I'm having a loop sewn into the lace and the silk lining of my dress. I will pick up the loop instead of bustling. My train is too short for a true bustle.

Yay! I can finally post pics of my dress! Not very good pics, they were scanned from a magazine ad back in 2003. My dress has since been discontinued and I can't find any online pics of it.

I'm also not going to have a bustle. My train is actually attached with velcro, so after the ceremony I can just rip it off!

And here's a pic of the back without the train.

Again, sorry about the crappy quality, but it's the only pic of my beautiful dress that I have!
