Was it simply the only place you wanted? Was it a picture from someone elses big day that captured your heart? Or was it did something about it just capture your imagination?? (I figured this would be a good one for other at home brides like me to join in with too! )....

My Ceremony is taking place at my local Church, but my reception venue is here:

This is a photo of it from the outside, at night-time. It's a fantastic Garden, so beautiful, and this picture just took my breath away! The floor looks like it's lit with stars.....

Well I wanted to have a DFTW but when DF brought up SOG and how is was mixing both of our worlds this picture did it for me. I just thought that the waterfall inside and the gazebo is beautiful. Plus its a heck of a lot cheaper!

I love SOG and if I had known that was an option i would have chosen that instead of DCL! The gazebo is beautiful!

Our wedding's at Sea Breeze Point, I love it's rustic charm and it's location right by the water!

this is where i will be having my ceremony and reception. I fell in love with it from this picture and when we went for our tour i knew it was the place! Getting married in october in NH will make for some really pretty pictures with the foliage being at its peak!

and a pouring vase for Dh and I and the kids! It's going to be a family sand ceremony.

Do all of you have J names? That is so cute! Your sand ceremony kit is beautiful! I got one from the knot and now that I am thinking about it I wish I would have gotten one with a top. The last thing I need on the way back from WDW is sand in the back seat . Well anyways this is what I got and they are engraved with our names and wedding date.

Yeah, we all have "J" Names. it wasn't planned...just kind of happened that way. Dh really liked the name Jackie for a girl, and we were always planning on naming DS after him so it just kind of ended up that way. the freaking thing is that we gave DD the middle initial the same as mine, and since DS is named after DH, they have the same initials too!!

And yes we really DID need to have the lid on the vase. we are sailing, then driving, then flying home! A lid was a neccesity!

i'm ordering mine today! I love the unity sand idea! So much better than the unity candle i think! I'm getting a lid on mine because i want to be able to put it out on top of the fireplace for us to see... As soon as it comes in i'll post a picture of it. I'm not sure which color sand we should do. Our bridesmaids will be in Navy Blue so i was thinking Navy Blue and White but does it have to match? And is there a certain way to pour the sand? I've never seen a unity sand ceremony.. always candles.
