POTD Match Game

Thought I was going to have to sit on the bench, but I think this is a weathervane!

Just did so, and here is what I added:

Update after a few weeks of use!

The "Starter Picture" is valid for 24 hours from when it is posted, no matter what time it is posted.

No "catching up" If you miss, you miss! Join in where we are.

More will be noted here as needed and decided by the group: I technically started this thread but it was not my idea and I am not the boss of it!

1) I can live without the "on the bench" posts: if you don't have an image, you don't have an image. (Or go find it!)

2) Matching... I am thinking that this is a "Match" game, as opposed to "Subject of the Day" game, and I tend to lean more that way, though not rigid on it.

Both points are QUESTIONS to the group, NOT declarations!!! I don't want to be the leader- we all know what happens to the leader!

I agree on the "bench" issue. The "match" issue is another story. I like the "subject of the day" idea better, as I do not have many exact matches to post. At least that's just my opinion.

Agree with the bench idea, like the subject idea better than match, as I also don't have many exact matches, but often have something of the group. We could always let the original poster for the day decide whether it is exact or subject and be sure to make it known.

I like "Match of the Day" vs. "Subject".

There are already many subject threads which cover lots of the subjects we could suggest but I could live with "subject" if they were specific enough.

I like "not posting" over "posting a bench" especially if we hold to the 24 hour limit and "no catch-up posting" for missed days.

I'm good with either Match or Subject whichever is decided...but I think subject gives a little more leeway as long as we stay as close as possible...
for example, if everyone posted the exact same weather vane as the first one it would be kinda boring even if they were at different angles...(just my opinion) I agree with not having the benches unluss of course someone pics that for the match/subject of the day

1 - I agree - no match no need to post a pic..
