POTC~ Where'd he GO?!?!?

On our trip this past week we did POTC many times, but I noticed one of my favorite characters was gone.

You know the drunken guy that is saying. "here kitty kitty kitty, hows about a little rum"... to the kitties on a barrel- well he is GONE!!!
now there are only the two kitties there meowing.
Totally NOT the same... *sniff*

I hope he comes back. That scene always has me cracking up.

Most likely he was removed for either repair work or maintenance. He should be returning, I just do not know at this time, when for sure.
I am sorry that he was not there during your trip. I love that ride too.

He was missing during our last trip (Dec. 20-25) as well. And it is pretty strange to see the cats meowing and trying to get away from nothing! But, I filled in the dialogue for my DH and I every time we rode.

I also noticed that the last pair of chasing people were also gone in that area. I was a little disheartened. Oh and I also noticed that they put a collar on the singing dog I thought it was funny because it was all blinged out !

That corner is idea a bit darker with only kitties and no chasing couples. As others said obviously it was their turn for a refurb. I know when each of the singers (the ones with a donkey) went missing it took quite a while to get them back, but every one did eventually come back all shiny and with new clothes.

I remember thinking this past time that one of the pirates got a new sock. The guy on the bridge with his foot hanging over. His other foot had a sock like the cast members there wear and I didn't remember seeing that before. But I can't remember if the kitty guy was there. I don't remember seeing him, but he might have been.
