POTC wet boats!

Let's just say something fishy is happening with POTC .. . first the boats had, well a boat load of water. . . probably about 1 inch of water , which seemed to be more by the end. . then there are some pirates on vacation apparently. . the kitty cats looked kind of freaky to be scared for no reason!

I did mention the water and was told ALL the boats are taking on water these days. . . so be sure you are prepared for wet feet!

The boats are taking on water? OMG! And I do not know how to swim! I know that whenever I am on one of the boats there is water on the floor, but an inch? I do not recall it ever being that much. Hmm, maybe it is time to repair the boats? I always do see and feel more water on the floor next to the end seat. I wish that the boats had a bit more leg room. I just thought that I would add that sentiment.

LOL, I noticed those lonely cats last weekend. As we passed by I asked hubby "didn't there used to be someone there????" Guess he's having some work done.

As for the boats, it's possible they had some heavier people in them. Hubby is on the heavier side (though he's lost over 50 lbs yay!) (and I'm not tiny at the moment) and if the seaters put him (um, us) in the front row, the boat is going to take on water. So there could have been bigger people in the boats before you...

Maybe this has something to do with the month long refurb scheduled for Feb/March?

Water in boats is like bumbershoot said, it tends to be about the weight of previous people and occassionally how the water level of the ride is. Some trips we noticed every boat was soaking wet, we also tended to be much wetter on these trips after our ride, and some trips the boat was bone dry and we seemed to get less wet.

I noticed on more of the wet trips, the CM's were packing the boats more then on most of our dry trips. I think it can certainly be based on crowds and how many boats are out in the ride. I don't think the boats are sinking just yet, the cannon balls always seem to miss.

I was fine with the cats, but I am wondering if the last "chase" scene of the big girl and the pirate is still dark, it was when we were there on Nov 30 that was odd.

We were just there last week - rode POTC five times (my daughter's new favorite), and didn't notice any water. Twice we rode in the front row and other times in the middle of the boat. We rode in the morning and at night.

We too were there last week and no water in our boats.
