I have a friend going to DL in April. She is from the UK. She is wondering if POTC will reopen in "peak spring season" like WDW's is rumored to be doing? I can't blame her for wanting to try the one in DL. I have heard it's better than the one in WDW. One day I'll make it out there! Thanks.

I have not heard anything like that. At this point they have it scheduled to be done until mid June. I can't see them getting it done 2 months early!

POTC in Disneyland is already undergoing the movie-related refurb.

In Florida, POTC is supposed to be done in two phases. Right now it's undergoing a general refurb. It's supposed to open in April for the Easter crowd and then close in early May for the movie-related refurb.

Reports from the Tell No Tales message board have indicated that Pirates were already disappearing before yesterday (the final day). The dirty foot pirate on the bridge disappeared a couple of months ago, and most recently the pirates at the end (hauling the treasure chest) were gone. I guess they were anxious to get started.

So to answer your question, no, POTC in Disneyland is not scheduled to open in April for the Easter crowd. I believe the scheduled reopen date is June 21.

The reopening dates is June 24 (not that the CMs there know that--well one does after I told her). Yep, there had been pirates dissappearing over the last few weeks.

One of the other boards stated that POTC at WDW would be opening on July7, the same day the movie goes nationwide.
