I just saw it... I thought it was fairly good. The beginning was kinda slow for me, but it was pretty good. I liked the addition of Penelope Cruz, she did a really good job. I would say go see it, but not in 3D. It wasn't meant to be a 2D movie.

Hopefully I'll be seeing it some time this weekend.. I work at a movie theatre but it's a one screen movie theatre and we typically get movies a week or 2 after they come out and they don't have it yet so it looks like I'm going to have to suck up $12.00 + overpriced popcorn and stuff to see it this weekend.. Were not getting it till 3 weeks from now at the earliest since were getting Kung Fu Panda II next week which the owner think she will make more money off of and were playing Water for Elephants and we have been playing Thor for 2 weeks already... Ugh I want to see it but I'm too cheap since I can go to the movies for $5.00 dollar with a extra large popcorn, extra large soda, and large candy at my movie theatre since I work there and get discounts and free into the movies..

My thoughts on POTC 4

Would have been the 2nd best POTC if it had a ship battle. WHERE WAS THE SHIP COMBAT?!?!
If you are really into pirates in general, you will love the references to pirate folk lore, like Blackbeard swimming around his own ship 6 times,beheaded, backwards, his mythical powers, and superstitions. I counted about 19 of them.

So, my favorite POTC in order.

1. POTC 3 At Worlds End
2 POTC Black Pearl
3. POTC 4 Stranger Tides
4. POTC 2 Dead Mans Chest

Just saw it today in 3D.It was very good and I loved Penelope Cruz! <3.
The mermaid and that pirate was a cute couple Reminded me of The Little Mermaid.

I thought it was very good. I agree with what a pp said about the beginning being slow, but once through the first 20 min.-30 min, it got really good. Also thought there was a lot more humor in this one. Also, don't watch it in 3-D. <-(don't do that)

I have to disagree with seeing it in 3D. I saw it in 3D and thought it was fine. I sneaked into a 2D version of it and it wasn't the same lol.

I really enjoyed it! I was really worried about Angelica's character-- I thought Jack having a love interest would ruin him, but that was done much better than expected. I thought the Philip/Syrena subplot felt tacked on for basically no reason, though. The mermaid battle and the Queen Anne's Revenge (FLAMETHROWERS!) were probably the coolest things I've ever seen!

I saw it last night and really liked it. At first I thought that it wouldn't be the same without Orlando Bloom or Keira Knightley but actually forgot about them during the movie. The movie didn't need them to be good and the addition of Penelope Cruz was great, she played a good part in the movie. However, Blackbeard on the other hand was very interesting. I'd say he is the most evil pirate I've seen in any of the pirates movies. I wasn't really a fan of him.

On another note, did anyone else stay after the credits? There could very well be another pirates movie in the making soon.

anyway i went to see it Again tonight With a girl i like and another friend and it was just as good the second time i saw it in 3D both times

I liked it. But I think the original three are better. The beginning was kind of slow, but after that it picked up a bit and got better.

I loved the movie! I love the music in all of the movies!♥

One disappointment: No Orlando Bloom haha but it was still amazingly amazing with Johnny Depp!
