My dds do not play with their potato heads anymore. I am going to sell them at a garage sale. Just wondering if I should wait since there is such a cool souvenier at Disney. What parts are there and should I keep the potato heads? How much is a container of parts? Thanks

I got rid of DS' awhile ago and after learning about the parts you can get at Disney I went to Target and got DS and DD new ones. LOL If they don't play with them I can use them as gifts or sell on CL.

OK-i have to confess-I play with them not the kids. LOL:rotfl:Seriously- I love em!!!

I don't remember the exact price but it's around $20. You can fill the box with lots of different pieces. They have so many characters. I have filled two boxes so far. I will get another box in October when we go again.

You can get the pieces at DTD at Once Upon A Toy Store. They also have a box you can fill with My Little Ponies and accessories. My niece did one for her best friend-I think we got everything and one pony in a box.

I would hold onto the Potato Heads, the kids will have fun playing with them if you do get a box full of Disney parts.

My kids occassionally get them out and play with them and the baby I babysit for (17 months) is just starting to show interest. We have bought 4 boxes of pieces (2 on 2 separate trips). I am planning to get additional pieces when we go but probably not more than a box this time since they don't play with them that often.

There is a box for $20 that can hold quite a few pieces (as long as you don't need a potato). There is also a large plastice potato-shaped container that was $50.

There were Disney World themed pieces (rides like Dumbo, teacups, Buzz, etc and Mickey pretzels, ice cream, tickets, luggage, Mickey ears), and really most of the characters- all the classic characters, the princesses, Peter Pan, Pirates, and Star Wars too.

My kids really enjoyed this souvineer. We walked around the store collecting all the pieces they wanted. We sat down and divided them into definitely and maybe piles and then DH carefully packed the box. We fit much more than we expected into it. We're going again this May and plan to get some more parts.

I would keep the heads and just get parts at Disney. A friend brought two boxes of parts back for my kids a few years ago and it completely refreshed Mr. Potato head. Now they play with them about once a week.

We have Dumbo ears, Maleficent (which is really neat), 2 complete pirate outifts, from hats to shoes, Hercules feet, Cinderella glass slippers and slipper on a cushion, complete Ariel outfit, Goofy ears and hat, Mickey ice cream, autograph book, among others I can't remember right now. Both my girls and boys love them!

We got a spare head today at target on clearance from Easter. We had one but with two kids under 3 we thought each should have their own and then one box of parts.

Alright, I saved the potato head from the garage sale and I will keep it to see how the potato head pieces go. Thanks everyone!

my dd7 has never really been into the potato head, even with the dis parts, but she loves the my little pony outfits we got there... plays with them a lot - and if you do it right, you should be able to fit everything in one box (big pieces first followed by clothes.)

Oh, my dds might like that better. Do they have disney my little pony pieces? What store sell them? What does everything in one box mean?
TIA

The My Little Pony fill a box is in Once Upon a Toy Store (in the back of the store). It costs a little bit less than the Potato Head box.

You go around and collect the princess outfits and all the accessories that go with them. There are ponies at the botom to choose also. I was able to fit a pony, bed, armoire, teacup, clothes and all the other accessories into one box. I started with the big pieces first and then added all the outfits. As I was finishing up a CM was helping another person and asked the little girl if she wanted the bed or the teacup as you can only fit one in. Not if you can pack really well!

You can't get all of the Potato Head pieces in one box, but you should be able to get all of the My Little Ponie pieces into one box (unless they have added more since September).

It is aweome DIsney parts available for Mr. P.

Mr. Potato Head is one of my all time things. I love going to Downtown Disney and buying all the new & different pieces. Just today I found some of the pieces floating around mixed in this other stuff. This will be part of my spring cleaning....getting alll the pieces in order.

My Littlest Pony is running a close second, as little DD has been collecting them also.

Oh the fun of being a girl !

If you buy Potato head parts, make sure to get extra arms. They are designed to hold things and the ones that come with the regular potato are not. Also, watch the arms as there is a right and a left arm (if you get the wrong one the thumb will be on the bottom of his hand). There is also a right and a left of the Mickey gloves.

Can someone post a picture of their potato head all decked out in their Disney duds? We have purchased our potato heads (ooh - those Easter ones were hideous looking) and are ready to fill a box with parts. I have seen them before but never really paid that much attention to them. I plan on setting mine on my desk so I stay in the Disney frame of mind all the time.

Do you have any pics? Thanksfor all your help!!!

We love our Disney Potato Head accessories! This is one of the most fun souveniers (sp) we've bought... it's something the kids can do themselves... Don't forget to do the free Mr/Mrs Potato Head printout!

I keep ours in a long flat plastic container that slides under DS bed...

If I could figure out how to post pics, I would! I can email them via my blackberry... or if someone can tell me quickly how to post pics from my blackberry, I will! Thanks!
