I've just never seemed that happy with what I have ordered at Rainforest Cafe in the past. Left up to me and we'd skip it but we are traveling with friends and that's one of their few dining requests. Is the pot roast any good?

I did not like it myself, but I did like the country fried chicken (dont remember exactly what they called it there) my husband ordered. DS thought the burger was okay and we all liked the hot wings (again I forget what they called it) appetizer. Melissa

Okay I found the online menu we liked the Raging Thunder Wings and the Chicken fried Chicken.

I've never cared for the food at RFC either. Hope you can find something you like, as they certainly charge enough for it!

I had it a number of years back and it was horrid enough for me to swear off Rainforest forver. They had the pot roast with mashed potatoes - and it looked like a nice serving of them until I saw that they'd put the pot roast on a big piece of white bread.

It was my first and last time at Rainforest. I remember thinking I'd rather have gone to Outback, it'd have been less money.

I always get the pot roast when I go to RFC. I love it. The meat is always very tender and the potatoes are yummy. I have never had it served on bread though, so I am not sure about why the other poster had that?? We have 2 RFC near us, so we go often because the kids like it and I have never seen that. I wonder if someone new was in the kitchen and made it wrong?? :confused3

Another thing I like to get, if my mom comes with us b/c she likes to share, is the steak, rib and shrimp combo. I love the coconut shrimp there!!

I had pot roast at the RFC last summer. It was the foulest thing I have ever eaten in my life. It was nothing but a large chunk of gristle. Even after I complained and found it inedible, they didn't take the price of it off our dinner. I usually get pot roast once or twice on every trip. Liberty Tree Tavern has the best at lunch time. But I would never, and I mean never, eat at RFC again. We did it twice and it was horrid both times. We did DTD once and AK once, a few years apart. Everyone said the RFC at AK was pretty good. So even after our experience at DTD, I told my husband we should give it another try. Never again.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

You might also check out Boatwrights--when we ate there in November our friends had pot roast and raved about it most of the week.

My son (16) has to make the trip to RFC every year just for the pot roast. This year he also tried it at 50's PT (I think that's where it was), and said it was good, but not as good as the RFC.

I love the turkey and bacon wrap - delicious!

You are correct. DH and I both had Boatwright's pot roast and it was great.
