Pot Roast at Disney

This thread made my mouth water. I'm heading to 50s Prime Time on my upcoming trip and I think you guys have convinced me to order the pot roast!

I saw that 50s has a pot roast sandwich on the kids menu. Anyone ever had this? We are paying OOP so thinking about ordering this while DH gets the sampler or regular pot roast.

Tomato based? At LTT? No.
You say No like I'm making it up. When I last ate there pot roast was a new part of the dinner AYCTE menu. The gravy was definitely not the traditional brown pot roast gravy. Perhaps it has changed since then.

No, definitely not a tomato based gravy at LTT. It actually says "Braised Beef in a Cabernet Wine and Mushroom Sauce served with Mashed Potatoes and Garden Vegetables". Its basically gravy...and sooooooo good. LTT pot roast is AMAZING! :goodvibes
Last time I ate there was in 2015 - The pot roast was a new part of the patriot platter at dinner. Pot roast gravy was definitely more red in color than traditional brown gravy. Not like Italian gravy - or tomato sauce to some - but definitely not a brown gravy.

Cabernet. Not tomato.

The red comes from the wine. I've made a recipe similar to the LTT pot roast at home and the gravy has a red tinge to it.

Yes I'm aware now of the ingredients which are/were not listed on the dinner menu at the time. It is still not the same gravy base as 50's Primetime pot roast which was the point of my reply to OP - that the two dishes are not the same.

I have heard great things about the pot roast at Liberty Tree Tavern. We have been there twice but never ordered it. However, I also noticed that 50's Prime Time also serves Pot Roast. We were thinking about trying a new restaurant this time and was wondering if the pot roast is the same at both places? Or should we stick with LTT for good pot roast? Thanks!
Very good at both places....at Liberty Tree it comes on a platter with other meats and it's AYCTE....sooooo if you're a big eater....I'd go there
