We have to move our march 2014 trip till sep/oct 2014. House needs a few costly repairs and our only vehicle needs Major TLC. I know crowds are better in the fall. Can you tell me what else is better in the fall and is sep better than oct or is it pretty much the same? Thank all

Hopefully you go at a time to enjoy the Food and Wine festival...that would make it enjoyable!

Btw, I am very sorry for you!

Much less crowded than March.
Possibility of Free Dining if onsite.
Lower hotel costs most everywhere.
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Parties are awesome!
Food & Wine Festival if end of Sept or October.

I'm so sorry you have to push back your trip! :grouphug:

The bright side is you will be going during a much less crowded time of the year! I would go in September if you can arrange it. The closer it gets to Halloween, the busier it will get, especially with more people coming in for Mickey's Halloween Party. Also, there is a Run Disney event in October. Fewer people go to the parks in September because school just started back and people are reluctant to take their kids out of school. I've seen a few people posting on here that they just got back or are at WDW right now and they are seeing very short wait times! :thumbsup2 Plus, there are typically free dining offers in the fall! Try to hang in there and dream of short lines and lots of Disney magic! :goodvibes

ETA: There are also dates in September for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party if that is something you don't want to miss!

Not a bad change, it's our favorite time of year. In the fall you get:

1) warm weather with less humidity.
2) MNSSHP - the best party ever!
3) Food and Wine festival.
4) low crowd levels.
5) less likely to have bigger rides down for maintenance.

I'm also pretty sure there are very few tour groups and organizations like Pop Warner so less chance of running into large groups.

Have a fun time.

The Food and Wine Festival in Epcot and Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party! We are going in October and I cant wait!

The crowds are better and you'll get to see all of the neat fall/Halloween decorations.

We had to postpone also. We had our vacation booked for Feb of this last year and had to move it to next month. It was sad but in the end, I'm very happy with our decision.

We had planned on doing the week completely at Disney, using DME, not renting a car, the whole thing. When we moved our date, we no longer qualified for discounts so we are doing a villa, renting a car, going to MNSSHP one night, and HS another day. The other days will be at the beach, SeaWorld, legoland. All of this, and we are saving about $1000!

We have younger kids who are really excited for Disney so to save some money, we are going to do Ohana's for breakfast so they get some of that character interaction without spending the extra money on park tickets.

You most likely won't get any discount if you stay during Columbus Day weekend like we are so check current blackout dates now so you can plan for next year.

So sorry you have to wait. It's a real bummer but it'll come up quick.
