Posting same thread to different forums?

I was wondering if we're allowed to post the same post in two different forums if it fits into both categories. We might get more answers this way. Is it allowed?

I don't see any reason why not so long as it is appropriate for both boards. You may even want to say something like I also asked this on the XXXXX board that way people know they aren't seeing double LOL
