As i have a friend in the usa and i want to get her a christmas gift and thought it might be cheaper if i post there rather than waiting until i get home in the uk?

Yes, you can do it from Downtown Disney or your resort! DTD mail goes out daily while the resort mail goes out less frequently. Happy shopping!
