Posting live 12 nights CL at the Poly!

Sorry about the bad time at DHS. Hope you have a great day today! :thumbsup2

How did I miss that Monday night is sushi night? Uh-oh.... I feel a change coming on :idea: I think the Poly is telling me to give up the split and stay put! But the kiddos are looking forward to SAB and walking to WSC.... :confused3

Argghhh. Wrong thread for RCing. Sorry for the hijack :flower3:

Hope to see you in a week! :cool1:

Dani IS a Poly Queen after all :grouphug:

Hey Dani sorry tonight was a washout! :sad2: hope tomorrow is sunny and enjoyable touring weather! I'm wondering, have you had a chance to get to DTD yet? Is it best to take the bus from the POLY there, or TTC, or hire a taxi to avoid the transportation issues all together?

I am trying to think about our plan for Mon Oct 1. That day I have us booked at discovery cove for the day. I am hiring a car to take us there and back. Originally, I was thinking of having the driver drop us off at DTD after DC, now I am thinking I might just go back to the room first, drop off all swim wear/ snorkel gear, sunscreen, etc....maybe have a bite of Mon. Night appys ( love sushi!) then head to DTD.:idea: Wondering how the busing situation might fare, or if I should splurge for a taxi again to get us DOwn Town? :confused3

hmmmm....running plans through my head is all! And when you pointed out Mon night sushi in the lounge, I just had to figure a way to fit that in too! :lmao:

Spending some time in the lounge sounds like a great plan! :thumbsup2

Mornin' Sunshine!

Well,darn, that is too bad about last night!:grouphug: If I was there, I'd be up and ready to go too! Are the kidlets sleeping in as well?

I always feel like I am late to the party if we miss rope drop. Sily, I know...but in the 30 years of visits, do not remember missing rope drop (even EMH)....well... maybe it could have happened once or twice when traveling with friends.

Hope the tropical storm drenching the west coast of FL and moving inland passed through during the night and you have a nice, dry day! :flower1:

(hope the sunburn is okay and not painful).:thumbsup2

We also have to hit rope drop! I love it. It's cooler and crowds are the most manageable...except today! :crazy2:

Me too!!

The first time I took my dh (then boyfriend), he didn't realize the importance of rope drop. It was 8am & what was he doing? He was in the 'library'. We should of been at the MK. I was not happy.

Since that trip he has learned that he needs to grin & bear it & get up earlier to visit the library.

~~~~
I hope the sun is shining for you today. It is in CT (so it must be in LI).
Sun was out in full effect today!
Sis, I hope the sunburn is better :hug:
Those pics are too cute....absolutely no misery there :goodvibes
I have to go back and re-read to be sure I didn't miss anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:flower3:
Sunburn got WORSE. :scared1:
never the wrong thread for RC talk! :thumbsup2
So this morning we hit MK for rope drop. It looked like this.
it was rough!
We had breakfast at the bakery and then my aunt had to go buy Crocs at the Emporium because no one listens when I tell them to get good shoes before we leave for vacation. :rolleyes:
After that we were off to Adventurland! We did the Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Splash, then lunch at Tortuga Tavern, and the barber shop for Lily's first haircut and Danimal's cool dude hair do!
Then we rode around on the train a couple of times to wait for the parade. Then we waited in the blazing sun for forty minutes waiting for the stupid parade to start. In all honesty I have no interest in any parade. The parks are the last place I want to be at 3 in the afternoon. :sad2: I got tons of photos from today but mostly on the SLR so they'll have to wait for when we get home.
I used the new Disney app to make an ADR for Kona for dinner tonight. We are going to take it easy and just relax around the resort tonight. Everyone is tired. We'll get to bed early so everyone is refreshed for our early morning in DHS tomorrow!
Love the pics, Dani! She is so flippin' cute. :goodvibes Is that one of those spinning Minnie toys she's holding?
Yes, CUTE is the word of the day! Oh, and TIRED. They go hand in hand at WDW! Make sure everyone gets their rest so they're feeling great and rarin' to go tomorrow. Looking forward to your KKC photos!
This sunburn is just awful. I never burn so that tells you how strong the sun is. I admit I haven't been very diligent with reapplications of SPF though. I have a few new photos for tonight!
The evening offerings were conch fritters, vegetable cornucopias with mango salsa, assorted cheeses, a strawberry banana coconut smoothie, mini corn dogs, humus, crudités, ranch, and pineapple with caramel sauce. The lounge has been CROWDED at 5. I haven't been able to get any photos of the offerings. I'm hoping to get some of the desserts tonight. We'll see!
Ouch, sunburn. :mad: Slather yourself with sunscreen tomorrow!
Great pictures of the kids! Lily has gotten so big, what a cutie. And such a handsome young man Danimal is!
So, have you had time to relax with an adult beverage yet?!!! :goodvibes
Oh I've been timing Lily's nursing schedule so I can have a few beverages. I'm enjoying a nightcap as I type!
Tonight we rested and ate at Kona. It did not disappoint! Everyone enjoyed their meal very much. Just to let you know, I am the only one with true Disney experience. Last year was my mom's first visit on property and enjoying Disney meals. This is my aunt and cousin's first time. They don't have much money so they usually stay off property and eat at Sizzler almost everyday, without exaggeration.
After dinner we browsed Trader Jack's and Samoa Snacks. Then we caught the EWP and hung out in the lounge until it was time for Wishes. Everyone is getting ready for bed and I'm going to jump in the shower.
Time for some pics!
This was a letter on our beds when we returned this afternoon.
Hope your next trip to DHS goes better. I burn too and have had a few bad ones in Disney, be carefully Dani.
Have a wonderful day !
:hug: sorry sis!
I feel the same about parades! Too hot! And I hate to wait. I much rather hit all the rides when the lines are shorter...
BTW you look exactly like your aunt WOW :goodvibes
Hi Dani!! :wave2:
Love all your pix!! (and thanks for keeping me in the loop yesterday with your texts :) This is the first time I'm able to get on the internet at my mom's cottage ... well, its really my cousins service!)
Happy that Danimal recovered quickly from his stomaches issues. Just excitement and overeating most likely!
Cannot believe you had a scene straight out of the movie The birds :scared1: That would of scared the crap out of me too .. happy no one was hurt.
They're fixing it! It should be open in a half hour. We've been at the pool since 1. My cousin and I came to Capt Cooks for a Mickey bar to refres ourselves. :goodvibes
Pool time and mickey bars are always good. :mickeybar
And agree that you look like your aunt Dani!! And btw, always love taking all the "hat" pix!!
The POLY offerings look fabulous!! And Dani, just have to say again, that it is wonderful that you are giving your mom, cousin and aunt this Poly experience, you are such a sweet and thoughtful person!
Have a great day today ... soon Jeannette will be joining you!! :dance3:
