posting level names please

I am trying to find (I have spent quite some time so far trying to do this) the posting count levels, ex. earning my ears to mouseketeer, and so on. I just cannot seem to find that information yet... anyone have the link handy? TIA

You can. If you leave it blank it will have an automated one for you such as "earning my ears" or "DIS veteran", etc. Then there are the colorful/scrolling/etc. ones that were doled out by the Tag Fairy.

The Tag Fairy is the person who makes your descripitoon by your user name do as BellaElla described.

That statement is simply not true. Getting special tags from the Tag Fairy has nothing to do with how long you've been on the DIS.

As for the Tag Fairy it is a user(s) unknown who have the ability to change people's tags and 'decorate' them so to speak in colorful ways, movement, etc. They are usually taken from a post/something funny that you may have said. To my knowledge no Tag Fairy has been hanging around the Disneyland section, but there are plenty of threads on the main Community Board dedicated to the Tag Fairy with people hoping for tags.

Yes, I did write my own tag, but then the Tag Fairy came along, and sprinkled her pixie dust.

I don't believe I have ever seen one posted. The only place I could think of that it would make sense to be is in the FAQ but I never saw it there. Maybe try messaging an Admin to see if they can pull it up for you. I know with this board host (because I've been an admin elsewhere) that you can at last find the names, but I don't think it tells you at what posting level.

Like I suggested, try sending a PM to an Admin, NOT a Host/Moderator (like Sherry and Judy, etc.). They should be able to at least look up the titles from my experience with these kinds of message boards, but I don't know if they would know the post count for each one.

Gisele, I think the titles are as follows:
Under 75 posts: Earning my Ears
75 - 499 posts: Mouseketeer
500+ posts: DIS Veteran

There was a time when these titles meant a little bit more because high post counts usually meant that the users were serious participants. However, once the post-count games started I don't pay too much attention to how high the post count is. I pay more attention to how long someone's been a member and then look at the post count.

Right - the Tag Fairy tags whenever he/she feels like it, and it doesn't matter how long someone has been here.

I also know the TF goes all over the DISboards & visits different boards. There is a thread on the Host Board that the Tag Fairy started that us mods can ask for people to be tagged. I'm going to ask if the TF has time that he/she come visit the DLR boards - it has been a long time since we've been sprinkled.

I don't know which DISers told you that, but they were misinformed.

And you're right about the ton of threads on the tag faries - you just have to search & you'll find a bunch of them.
