I hate the fact we have a utility pole in our yard. Every utility seems to think they have free rights to our entire yard. If it has rained they think they can just help themselves to the huge brick we have for a step into our shed, and then not put it back. They didn't bury the cable wire they ran to our neighbors until I called several times. When the neighbor stopped cable the worker merely cut it and left it dangling into our yard. They spray painted a small section of my fence once and dug a partial hole under my fence and only filled it back on the neighbor's side of the fence.
When we needed service they tried to claim the gate was locked. Funny thing was we were on vacation and the neighbor only had a key to the back door so there is no way they could lock the gate and then get out of the yard. They had her info and she lived across the street, but they just left instead of doing their job. When they came again after we were already home they drove half into my neighbors yard and rutted it up.
The worst was the fact we have a regular gate and an oversized one. They wouldn't use the regular gate. The oversized one had small boards across to keep it shut. I would be in the house and see a ladder go past the window. The jerks would pull on the gate until they could slip something in to knock the boards out. They finally cracked the wood holding the boards and then we had high winds. It destroyed the gate and 4 foot of fence. I called every utility I knew used it and told they were to NOT ever use that gate again and to NOT touch anything in my yard. We then used long 2x4's all the way across the gate so they won't be getting the oversized gate open ever again.
We are lucky they are now done building the cul-de-sac behind us and don't have to be in our yard very much.
I feel your pain with having everyone traipse through your yard and disrespect your property.
