Any teachers/PTO moms?

I made a few poster boards for the Middle School sports and put them up yesterday and today I got a call they fell. Any suggestions?

It is a cement block wall painted. Packing tape (tons of it) didn't stick. Those cute poster board stickers didn't work (work on small items but not full size poster board).

HELP!

double sided foam tape. Our janitor has a big roll (the paper backing is green stripes if that helps).

Or that sticky poster clay looking stuff. I wish I knew what it was called.

Or, if you don't want to salvage what you put up, gorilla tape, it's like duct tape but stronger.

They sell a waxy substance for putting up posters and such that is really good. If you don't see it at a regular store you could check a teacher supply store.

We have the old school painted cement blocks in our building and we use hot glue guns. The glue just peels off the wall when you take the poster down.

Interesting ideas...Anyone know what stores to get that from?

No teacher stores here (small town, more farm animals than people) and not sure about the glue gun in on that wall. It is a long hallway with the bathrooms behind it, so I'm not sure about outlets there.

gorilla tape can be bought at a hardware store, maybe walmart.

The other stuff can also be bought at a hardware store, walmart, or a craft store. I the dept with picture hanging stuff or glue.

Glue guns can hold heat when unplugged. Usually for a good 5 or 10 minutes.

And foam tape works wonders. It'll keep the posters up no problem.

The waxy stuff is Museum wax, it leaves a residue--you need goo gone when it comes off!

Our school has the painted blocks too, we just use masking tape and it works good, you do have to make sure and use enough of it.

when I used to do exhibitions we used Velco tape - you'll have to get male and female;) one type on the wall and one on the boards. You can leave the wall side up and use it for other displays:thumbsup2

Where I work we can't use anything that will damage the surface of the walls so we use masking tape or those 3M adhesive tabs (why can't I think of what they are called?!?). The tabs are cool because they have poster ones that are flat and work really well!

ETA: googled the tabs and here is a coupon for them:

The foam tape is a bugger to remove! I can never use that as it is a mess to get off.

We have a school supply store and they sell something called Marvelous tape. It looks like the white tape you use on bandages. You have to roll it back on itself but I've left stuff up on my walls for 2 weeks and it didn't take off the paint.
