Wow! I certainly shows what can happen when conditions aren't great.
 
Now we know why the DCL captains are so picky about docking and not docking at Castaway. I would rather miss CC than see a hole like that in the Magic or the Wonder!

Those were my exact thoughts when I first saw those photos!
 
When did this happen, and what the h**l did they hit?????
 
The damage happened during docking. Strong winds blew the ship into the dock in Costa Maya on Wednesday.

Remember, these ships are so large that cross winds can have a terrific impact on moving the ship. The side of the ship acts like a giant wind sail in a cross wind.

Repairs were expected to be completed today (Saturday) with the ship departing in the afternoon according to cruisecritic .com.

RCCL sure did manage to keep a lid on the bad pr for a while.
