I'm not sure if this issue came from my own computer, from the Amazon link I tried to post, or from some weird coding in the DIS forums. I felt like I should mention it though so administration knows to keep an eye out for it in case similar issues arise in the future. It seemed very sketchy to me:

I was posting an amazon link for a crossbody bag in a thread. While editing the post, the link displayed correctly. As soon as I posted it, however, the link changed to a rover.ebay address. I tried to edit it multiple times, and it changed to the redirect link each time. I finally tried a different amazon link for a similar product, and that one posted without the issue.

My first impulse was to think I had malware of some kind, but Avast and Malwarebytes scans came back clean. I've had nothing else of this sort happen either. Since a different amazon link worked without error, I'm thinking perhaps it's just that particular item that's coded to automatically change its link when posted? I don't know. But searching for rover.ebay reveals that it is considered malware and causes unwanted popups, opens new tabs, etc. If I had left the link posted, and others clicked on it, it may have caused problems for those users.

If anyone has more information about this kind of thing, I'd appreciate it.
