Postcard Countdown

I thought it would be a neat idea to surprise my fiance with a postcard countdown. We have 17 weeks left until our honeymoon at WDW. I wanted to be able to get a postcard sent to him each week until then simply saying something like, "Only 17 weeks left!" from someone who will be in the world. Well, it seems to have been successful and I have a volunteer for every week. He has even received 2 postcards so far! Thank you all so much for your help with this little project.

BTW, Canadian postage is 50 cents so be sure to use the proper amount so it gets here.

Thank you to all those who have volunteered to take part in this, either through PM or on this thread. I am still desparately looking for one to be sent this week, March 6th to 12th, to kick things off. It will be 17 weeks this week until our honeymoon. Any volunteers?

If you are going some other week and are interested, please PM me and I can tell you how many weeks will be left when you will be in the World. So far I have two weeks confirmed:
May 1st to 7th
May 8th to 14th

If you are going at another time between today and July 3rd, please, please, please PM me.

You can also surprise him by creating these yourself and dropping them in his briefcase, lunch bucket or front seat of his vehicle. I do these for my daughter and she gets a note from a Disney character every few weeks.

I thought about doing something like this but I don't think it would mean as much to him and he would probably expect it. There's no way he would expect getting a postcard from Walt Disney World every week. It is a great suggestion though and I have bookmarked the site.

Congrats on your pending wedding and WDW honeymoon!!!! We honeymooned there in '01 and it was awesome! DH had never ever been to WDW so it was magical X1000!

I have a couple extra postcards from last year's trip. I'd be happy to send one out to you when you need it! Just let me know which week to send it and how much postage I need to put on it since I'm sending it to Canada (correct?)

KJS, I might get you to send me one this week if you could saying, "Only 17 weeks until your honeymoon!" since I can't seem to find anyone who is going that can help me out. I will PM you with the information. (I have deleted some PM's to make room for new ones. Thanks for letting me know.)

I'm not sure about postage though. If you go the post office to do your mailing, they can let you know. I imagine you just need to know the price of a Canadian stamp, right? Canadian stamps are 50 cents but it costs me 85 cents to mail to the US. I'm not sure if this is helpful or if I am just rambling.
