I was wondering if you could purchase Bahama(?) stamps at Castaway Cay so you could mail a postcard back to the states? Also, if you wanted to mail a postcard from St. Marteen or St. Thomas back to the states where would you get a stamp? Do they have them on board the ship for sale anywhere?

There is a post office on Castaway Cay, so bring your post cards and letters, and CASH, they will supply the postage and get them mailed. You may be home 3 to 6 weeks before the cards reach the area. St Thomas and St Maarten, well St Thomas is part of the USA, so I think regular stamps will work. Can't help you with St Maarten.

The post office is the only place on DCL that takes cash, they do not take the KTTW card.

I totally forgot about St. Thomas being USA owned. I still need info about St. Marteen. Anyone? Do they sell stamps on the ship for the different ports? How much does a postcard stamp cost when you figure it in US Dollars?

I personally went to Post office in each port and mailed my postcards. I didn't get to mail one from french side of St. Maarteen d/t lack of time but mailed one from dutch side. If you need more info on prices I can try and dig my post cards out.

Postcard stamps on Castaway Cay were 65 cents each the last time I mailed anything. It took 6 weeks to get home! And yes, cash only.

If your ship doesn't dock at Castaway or if the post office isn't open, you can give your cards and money to the GS people on board. They will get the stamps and have your items mailed on the next Castaway stop.

On Grand Cayman, a postcard stamp was 25 cents US, and they can give change only in Cayman dollars regardless of what currency you use to pay for it. They have a post office near many of the attractions.

Well, if you could just direct me to where the post office is located on the Dutch side of St. Marteen/St. Martin I would be grateful. Thanks!:worship:

On the Dutch side (Sint Maarten) there is a Post Office located in Philipsburg on North Derbot Street, next to the offices of the Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten. The current postage rate for international postcards is 1.66 Netherlands Antilles Guilder or US$0.92

On the French side (Saint-Martin) there is a Post Office located in Marigot on rue de la Liberté. The current postal rate for international postcards (excluding France and territories) is €0.53.
