My father served in the Air Force during Vietnam
My paternal Grandfather and Grandmother served during WWII (USO)

I know there are several family members on my DH's side that served during the Vietnam war. ETA 6-1-06:3 out of 5 bothers serverd and all came home. Their father (my dh's grandad) served as a Head Chef/cook for the Officers during WWII. I believe their branches were all Army.

Our freedoms are taken for granted. These/Those who have served/are serving/will serve help continue to make our country what it is today. I am very grateful for the sacrafice and dedication our soldiers have. Sure wish our soldiers/vets would get the respect they so deserve....Sorry, I'll get off my soap box now.

..no need to 'get off that box'.....I believe in giving credit where credit is due! At the VERY least, our troops deserve our support.....
