Post your SW Airfare!

That's the thing, when you factor in extra baggage costs & then the fact that there is a change fee I prefer SW. I can change at any time with no penalty if I want & get a credit if the fare goes lower.

Yep...The chances of us flying again within a year are slim, but I'm sure a friend or family member might be able to use it, so at least it wouldn't go to waste. DH just got back from a work trip to Miami on an airline that charged baggage fees...he was one of the last on, and the overhead bins were full because people brought huge carryons to avoid paying the fees. That is one less thing to worry about with SW. Plus, I like to be able to pick my own seat.

4 rt tix from Milwaukee to MCO, for November, $570. That's $142.20/ticket!

did you miss out on the 35$ introductory fares.....from MKE to MCO

they are appearing right now .....89.70 rt nonstops....for first part of november and must be purchased in the next couple of days... dates i checked were november 5 and november 12 return

I'm going to hold off and hope they go a little lower. Need 6 tickets for our early December trip and DH said we may drive rather than pay $1300 +

Wish I could leave from Baltimore

Nope, got $35/tix going to Orlando, coming back it was $88/tix. I'll take it.

I don't normally buy tickets the day they are posted as I usually get them cheaper later. But, I saw $89 stl-mco on jan 8 so I went ahead and booked. They don't have our return flights back yet for Jan 16, but I figured if the flight out went down in price, I could use the ttf to buy the return when those are released. I see from june-jan, the cheapest stl flights are $82, but not on a fri/sat which is what we need, so I'm thinking this may be as good as it gets.

I'm wondering if it's as good as it gets too. $89 each way Dec. 12 and 19 from St. Louis. I'm not sure I wan't to book yet. I've never booked this early and paid $79 each way on AA in January 09. What to do, what to do?? If fares go lower, I'm not sure we would use a credit w/in a year.

Wow! I'm so excited. I got 4 tickets for $716 for 12/25- 1/1 from Pittsburgh. I had to cancel our June trip b/c I broke my foot, we would have been leaving today. This has really cheered me up. The only downside is we will be traveling in the early evening.

Here's a Fist Bump with ya! In fact I scored a trifecta: nonstops, times, and price. We're going Dec 12 - 18 from Pitts. Booked around 11:30 this morning and got the $79 each way price, both flights nonstop, and got a 7 AM down / 4 PM return - perfect! FYI the 7 AM flight down is now $119. The best price I've seen to date is $89 each way from Airtran, but most of those flights are 1 stop, some with large layovers, and none with very good departure times. Add baggage and other costs - no comparison.

I have been watching and waiting for this day for six months. Now I can finish the trip plan and wait.

I just hope the schedule doesn't change much between now and then!

Hi neighbor! Bethel Park here :)

Well I guess we can hope for fares to lower as we approach November. Although that weekend being after Thanksgiving holiday....probably won't hold my breath. But you're right--could be much worse!

We really are neighbors. I live In Peters Twp. :)

That's what I paid for three tickets out of Houston/Hobby and used two free tickets. I was so surprised that there weren't any internet fares from Houston! Hopefully a "Ding" will come out before then - Dec 5-11.

Hoping a ding will come out too - Dec 1-17.

BTW, I live in Pearland too!

I got $59 each way for dec 21-31. I'm traveling out of Dallas. My original dates were dec 22-30 but the rates weren't as good. I just checked the same flights a few minutes ago and they've skyrocketed for the same flights. The flight down is now $161 and the flight back is $182.:eek::eek: Guess that's what happens when you book 6 tix at a time. LOL

ok i am on the fence about MDW/MCO for 11/24-11/29 .......n/s around $280.00..since its Thanksgiving wk i am thinking thats as good as it may get..any suggesstions?

I went with the 11AM EST time call. Originally told that I could not use my RR on flight down but could on our direct flight back. So I said ok, she processed payment for the flight down which had no RR availability first and somehow when she went to process return flight it was no longer available. So we had to take an earlier, non-direct flight. Yuck! Does Southwest ever add flights during holiday week? I guess I will be checking everyday with the rest of you to see if I can do better.:headache: Not how I wanted to spend my whole lunch hour!:headache:

LI, NY (ISP) to MCO 89. down and 129. back, decent, had hoped for a DING, but alas, nothing to date.....:rolleyes1

BUT...
it just qualified me for ANOTHER free flight....so all is good! :thumbsup2

Hi - I live in NYC. We (2 kids and 2 adults) are flying SW on 8/22 out of LaGuardia in NYC to Orlando. We got $79 per person (with tax, etc.) it comes to like $100 per person for a flight that leaves NYC around 12 and arrive in Orlando around 4. I see the fare now is at $139. Just keep checking because when I booked it about a month ago - the fare was usually at $129 then for a short while one day, it went down to $79 but later that day, it went back up to $129 and when I checked it last night it was $139. The flight has 1 stopover in Baltimore for 55 minutes ...not too bad. The direct flights usually takes about a little under 3 hours fron NY but with thsi stopover, it will take a little over 4hours. The direct flight is $139 per person. after leaving Disney we will travel to Miami fro a few days. Coming back from Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area to NY on Aug. 31st - we are flying Jetblue for $94 per person. The Jetblue flight is non-stop in the evening and we are actually flying into Newark. laguadia is closer to my home but Newark isnt too bad ....probab;y takes about 20 - 25 minutes longer. So the total using SW and Jetblue is about $820.

I just booked those same dates with SW today from St louis . I checked AA and Airtrans airways yesterday and SW was cheaper than both of them.

Yeah, I already had a $56 SWA credit to use by 2/10 so it was a no brainer for me. I even booked dh/my tickets separately so my ticket wouldn't be tied up with the 2/10 exp date if we are lucky enough to get a price red. I too ckd aa & airtran, and swa was cheaper. Not to mention with those airlines you have to factor in luggage costs.

I am so glad I booked yesterday from Milwaukee to Orlando in November! The one way fare I paid $35 is now at $124! Yay!

Lucky duck! When are you going? Ours were $77 each way from Baltimore for December 13th - 19th.

I got the $49 fare from BWI to MCO on Friday Dec 4th (6:25 pm) and Saturday Dec 12th (12:45 pm). I checked today and those flights were up to $77.

Shoot!! I wish I had checked yesterday. Oh well, I'll keep any eye out and maybe it will go down and we can get the credit. Congrats!:thumbsup2

It is bittersweet, LOL. I checked first thing for flights out of PHL (where we always fly from) and wasn't happy with the price so didn't book. Was reading these threads with all the great $49 flights from BWI and could have kicked myself for not checking there....they are usually close in price to Philly and not worth the extra distance for us. By that time the late afternoon return flight I wanted was $129 so I settled for the 12:45. Still not bad, but I really wanted that later flight so we could hit the parks that last morning.
