They are recalling staff that is currently assigned to POP. It doesn’t mean they will actually be working at POP. They could be assigned elsewhere.

That is odd I cant imagine they arent opening if they called in the gift shop, food court and pool bar staff.. maybe they will send house keeping from another resort?

As have been noted, call backs may not always mean the CMs are going back there as was noted in one round that CMs from Mara were callled back but Jambo is not opening,l

It May have to do with seniority, etc. it certainly is nice to see and can give hope, but others have mentioned that until we hear more, especially with no housekeeping, maybe it is not opening right away.

I wonder if it will be one of the first values to open,though, even if not soon?

Is it possible that Mara CMs are returning to help with quick service at Kidani? I suppose meals could be prepared on the Jambo side and then taken over.

Yeah thats what some have been saying. They are going to need more staff over on the kidani side than usual.

Yes..I think they are. But many saw that and assumed Jambo would be open and then it wasn’t.

I certainly think it is interesting we saw Pop and CSR on call backs but no other values or mods...hoping something comes of it in next few days.

They won’t remove it as long as you keep your dates. It doesn’t matter if your resort is open or not.

I have heard you can take days off your dates. I wonder if I can move my dates around but still have a few of my original dates lol?

For those of us who are three weeks out and have info about modifying our stay, Disney should let us into a soft opening. That would make up for all of the stress this has caused.

I agree! Supposed to arrive in 3 weeks and I don't know where we can stay or whether we can go to parks and I hope we get more information tomorrow

I wish! we are set to arrive in 3 weeks not a word from Disney yet on where we will be staying or if we can even change our dates! Due to arrive 7/4-7/14 and still NOTHING...

Food and wine festival is starting in July 15 for those of you that will be at Disney.

Oh wow, I feel like you should call back. Most people are being given concessions for cooperation on rebooking and it seems very unfair that they just moved you to a more expensive room and canceled your benefits. What are you being offered in exchange? Just a higher charge on a more expensive room seems totally unreasonable.

My dates - June 28 - July 3rd
POP with original free dining offer (booked in Jan) with park hopper tickets
Booked myself online through Disney's website (2 Adults and one child, age 17) for $2,842.00
Received an email from Disney Destinations that gave me the three choices, confirm, cancel or modify. When I picked modify, stated to call.
Switched dates to November 8-13th was told I had the choice of Fort Wilderness or DVC resorts.
CM tried to keep my cost close to the original price (2 Adults one Child age 17).
I had two offers that were close in price:
Fort Wilderness cabins, same number of nights, 5 day tickets no park hoppers and no dining for $2,935.50
Old Key West Studio for $2,994.00

And I only had to wait on the phone for about fifteen minutes before I was able to talk to a CM.

I am bummed I lost out of free dining and the park hoppers, but am now booked for a cabin which I have always thought would be fun to stay in. I am not sure what the rack rate would be for it since I can't check prices now.

People who moved dates were only given the option for DVC or FW. We were July 1-5 and were offered Kidani for park open dates (July 15-19) at more than double what we were paying for All Stars (plus higher parking). At first I took it but then, knowing we can't really afford that right now (have to pay 100% of DDs college OOP) I cancelled yesterday, then heard today that maaaaaaybe POP might open. Anyway... I got an off site resort and hoping it's good enough.

my guess is they already got concessions. Only $100 more total to go from pop to old key west sounds like there was a discount applied as well.

from what other people have shared, if you don’t modify your dates you might get the upgrade for free but if you’re choosing to move them (which it looks like these folks pushed back to November), then you pay the difference and they might still offer you 35% off for losing the free dining package.

yes. They are allowing modifications for checkouts up to July 11. One person was able to get theirs with a later check out time.

I was originally booked 7/5-7/13 - they let me reschedule when I called last week without any issue.
