Ok, now I am starving!! LOL!! DH called me from work tonight and I told him about this thread! He thought i was totally losing it. LOL!!

Does anyone have a picture of the Superbowl Sundae from the ESPN Club that they can share?

OMG, how could I have not seen this thread earlier. I've only made it about half way thru the pages, but I'm still looking. We are on the dining plan so I'll take some pics of the food we get and post too (Le Cellier, Boma, Ohana, CRT, Wolfgang Pucks Cafe, Brown Derby, 50's Prime Time)... and any others we stop at and get yummy stuff...

:cool1:

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who takes pictures of my food (my DD always rolls her eyes!) :rotfl:

I can't wait to try Whispering Canyon! :earseek:

I've only taken pictures a couple times. The last time I did was New Years Eve and we went to dinner at a restaurant in Baltimore called Phillips. I took it because I couldn't believe I spent as much as I did on such a little amount of food.

Haha, been there done that! I'm sure it looked pretty though. Did you have to stop by a McDonald's or something on the way home to fill-up? :rotfl2:

I don't typically take pictures of the food. The only times I can recall doing it was at a resort in Jamaica and on a cruise a few years ago, but the food was "sculpted" into all kinds of things (fish, gators, birds, flowers, etc) so you just had to take pictures!

Just got back from my honeymoon - new DW and new Digital Camera! I hope these post correctly!

Cheddar Cheese Soup from Le Cellier:

California Grill for dinner

We got the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli as an appetizer (they split it for the two of us):

DW had the Oak Fired Beef Filet (with Au Gratin Potatoes and a Tamarind BBQ Sauce):

I had the Pork Tenderloin with Creamy Polenta:

For dessert, we ordered the Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake. This came with a white coffee ice cream that went great with the molten chocolate center of the cake. Our server was nice enough to add the little "congratulations" plaque that was made out of chocolate. The Before picture:

And the After picture:

Rainforest Cafe lunch

We started with the Awesome Appetizer Adventure to share. This came with calamari, blue crab dip, Chimi-Cha-Chas (kind of a southwestern spring roll), and chicken tenders with a coconut curry dip (I loved it, DW thought it was too sweet):

We then split a roasted shrimp pizza. It was good, but we were stuffed from the appetizer.

Keep 'em coming folks!

Liberty Tree Tavern Character Dinner

Starts with salad with strawberry viniagrette dressing and some delicious hot rolls:

Then comes the main event - ham, roast beef, turkey with dressing, along with whipped potatoes and gravy, Stouffer's mac and cheese, and steamed vegetables.

It finished with apple cobbler and ice cream, but with the excitement of the characters I completely forgot to take a picture of it. I wasn't really impressed with the cobbler though.

Brown Derby at MGM

We had lunch here - nice break from the day, good food and a very funny waitress who resembled Whoopi Goldberg in both appearance and personality. DW had the New York Strip steak, which came with mashed boniato (no, I don't know what that is either), three delicious sauces and some fried plantain strips:

I had to go for the classic Cobb salad:

Man, what a monster salad this was! Under all of the toppings you see there is very finely shredded lettuce. Half the fun was mixing the salad up before eating it. I like all of the toppings on the Cobb, but the real blue cheese and the bacon dominated the flavors of the salad. Overall a really good meal.

Orsba,
You had the exact same meal at California Grill that we did! We started with the Sonoma Goat Cheese ravioli. My DH got the pork tenderloin with polenta and I got the fillet with 3 cheese gratin!!

Bongo's Cuban Cafe

We had lunch here - the interior of the restaurant is beautiful! I would love to come back and eat dinner on the patio while looking over at Saratoga Springs - what a view. I had the Cuban Sandwich:

My DW had the Pan con Bistec - long, thin but very tender piece of steak with mozzarella cheese, lettuce and tomato (although she left the tomato off of hers):

We both loved our sandwiches but they were huge and we took half of them back to the room. Even cold, they made great late night snacks!

Maggie -

How funny! We went with our server's recommendations for dinner. The ravioli, filet, and pork tenderloin are supposed to be the specialties of the house. We hadn't eaten at CG before and wanted to get a true taste of it, so that's why we chose those entrees. Did you happen to get the chocolate cake too? As you can see from my post, it didn't take us long to finish it!

Wolfgang Puck's Cafe, DTD West Side

We had dinner here. Started off great with some delicious bread and dipping oil (the brown spots in the oil are balsamic vinegar) and a Starburst martini. To make the martini, they put pineapple, oranges, and strawberries in a glass jug and fill it up with vodka, then let it sit for a day or two. They then strain the fruit out and mix the vodka with some triple sec and a splash of sour mix. It was a great drink, but I'm glad we only had one. They were very easy to drink and packed a punch!

For an appetizer, we had the spinach and five cheese dip - this was great too:

DW had the cheese ravioli and really enjoyed it (I enjoyed it also! :earboy2: )

I ordered the Puck's Steak - a grilled ribeye with herb butter and french fries. For some reason, we got our bread and our appetizer very quickly, then waited more than 45 minutes before finally getting our entrees. :confused3 :confused3 I was not happy, and when the steak came I found out why it took so long - they had apparently cooked my steak for that entire time. Well, not really, but I had ordered it cooked medium and it was definitely well done; it was actually charred on one end. Also, they had way oversalted the steak - I was only able to eat two bites of it. The waiter was really nice and offered to send it back, but after waiting so long I didn't want to wait any more. They did take it off the bill, which is what I hoped they would do. Weird - when I look back at the picture, the steak actually looks really tasty:

Overall I would go back to Wolfgang Pucks - but I would order the meatloaf next time!

Finally - who wants some dessert? Me! :wave2:

We went to Goofy's Candy Cauldron at Downtown Disney - too much to choose from!

Don't forget the candy apples!

Well, I hope you have enjoyed my WDW food pictures. I feel like Pavlov's dog every time I look at this thread - drool drool!

Boniato is somewhat like a sweet potato, it's a slightly sweet tuber from Latin America :)

Excellent pics Orsba!

I've always wanted to see what the Cobb salad at HBD looked like. Thanks for having that for one of your meals. :teeth:
