Ricmiclvsthemouse, you thought I was kidding? ;)

Have you ever looked up the definition of 'Buckeye"? (a worthless nut) I can say this cause I are one. :rotfl2:

SG

SG, what I think is that you are an undiscovered talent. :worship: "All hail the Slightly Goofy and her wit!" :rotfl2:

I have thought of your previous post several times today and giggled out loud every time! :goodvibes

I also think that if you put the worthless nut on a string and put it around someone's neck...suddenly it's worth $14.95. Ka-ching!

I have read in some other post that most of WDW CS desserts are pre-packaged in bowls. I rather have them slice not bowled. anyone?

Port Orleans Riverside Mill
Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting...included as dessert on the counter service DDP.
This cake was moist and delicious!

My belly is growling:sad1: ....you most likely all can hear it:guilty: !

Ricmiclvsthemouse, my dd informed me a few months ago, very seriously, that I am NOT funny. Having been told that I am many times, okay I might be an acquired taste but ----

Ever since that I have carried a page in my purse and when someone says I AM funny I have them sign it. I will not tell you what number of pages I have right now cause I am not sure I can count that high. English major, ya know? :teacher:

Anywho, I told my ten year old grandson, scion of said dd, and he told me that my idea of giving this list, beautifully wrapped as a Christmas present, would not work cause his mom has no sense of humor. True, so true. :sad2: However, I am delighted to say that it does skip generations so grandson and I have a delightful time together. :yay:

What part of Ohio are you from? I are from near Athens, famous for having the most letters written to Playboy and the National Jigsaw Contest. :dance3:

Glad I could make you smile.

Your Nit Witty friend, SG

BTW, if you paint a piece of tree bark you can sell it for $20 in Brown County. More if it is on a piece of old roof slate. No talent needed. I do it.

I'm not sure but I think my uncle may have written most of those letters! Just Kidding--he only reads the articles! ;) (I found a bunch of these mags in his house when I was a kid, that's how I know. In case you were wondering... )

I disagree with DD, but I do know from personal experience with my DM, that you are never too old to be embarrassed by your parents. Could this possibly be the situation with DD? :confused3 Maybe not, as I'm sure you've never embarrassed anyone with your clever repartee. ;) Glad you've got DGS. And I think the Xmas idea is great--DD might not laugh too much, but everyone else will!

I am from Columbus, home of the Buckeyes and some other stuff. Where in Indiana are you from? My father and his wife and their daughter (and her family with my DNieces) live there, in Middlebury. You might not want to tell me your location--I told my DH about your 3+week vac to WDW and he was jealous. He might try to find a way into your luggage!

Later dudette! :goodvibes

Ricmiclvsthemouse, actually I live near Columbus myself but Columbus, IN. I have a sister who is a paralegal and lives in Columbus, OH. I am from south of there as you know. BTW, I actually read the articles in Playboy when I was younger. I might be the only one who did but I am here to tell you that there were better articles on more topical subjects (not just the one most think of) and greatly enjoyed the different POV. I am a dangerous woman, I have a brain and a mouth! :scared1: I am afraid that other than my demented grandson I am surrounded by the mirthless. Very sad. Yes, I embarrass my dd. I feel really bad about it cause she has never embarrassed me.   If your husband will do part of the driving, help carry the luggage and indulge me with some clever repartee he (and the rest of you) are more than welcome to join me. I get so lonely on these 'vacations' unless I run into Disney lovers and can get a word in edgeways from my dh. I love to laugh and will scour every corner for one. :cool1:

bonzarella, bless your little heart for the erudite reference - ala Clara Barton. I am so starved for some sort of signs of intelligent life around here. If it were not for books I would take a long walk off a short pier but then I cannot swim so I will not. :rotfl2: I am headed for a baby shower this afternoon. We shall talk schedules soon. Later this week maybe. I think I see an open spot in my schedule on Thursday, around 3 am. I am soooo glad that I am not a working woman. Do not know when I would find the time. :scared1:

Off to do my chores and head toward town. Will be coming home late so I had better turn down the bed as I am sure to be too tired to do so later. :dance3:

OK. Everything looks pretty good at MM. Can you tell me what your favorites were? We will be there in a few days and would like some suggestions. Thanks!

Also, what is that pink drink in the champagne glass in your following post??? That looks yummy too!:yay:

bigmerle1966, since our next trip will be a record breaking 24 days even I might get a tad bit full. If I do find the time to investigate the rumors I will report back for those of you who are too preoccupied with the food thing.

SG

 Oh my stars, 24 days! Yeah you might be able to check out one or two of those rumored rides.

I have read in some other post that most of WDW CS desserts are pre-packaged in bowls. I rather have them slice not bowled. anyone?

I had the Carrot Cake at Cosmic Rays, it was very moist and very delicious and it was pre-packaged. I have also had a pre-packaged Orange Creme Brulee at Sunshine Seasons that is so far the best I Creme Brulee I have had there. Although I have to say the Pistachio from Jiko comes in a close second.

mickeymotto, I am sorry to report that I did not care for MM at all the one and only time we ate there, last September. Between the surly waiter and the so-so food I was unimpressed and I am not all that difficult to please (disregard what my family says please)? I was asked to do the complilation of MM with menu and pics (taken from the Food Porn thread). I do not drink so I cannot tell you anything about the drink. Iced tea is about all I can handle. I am bad enough sober. :rotfl2: I wish I could be more help. Maybe someone else will have a better take. I do think I have been reading that they do not give you bread with your meal and I think that was one of the reasons we were less than pleased.

bigmerle1966, you do understand that along with 24 DAYS comes the responsibility of eating 24 CS, 24 TS as well as 24 snacks and that will greatly cut into the time available for other pursuits?popcorn::

I'm bummed to hear that.:sad1: Hopefully we can find something here we like.
I have been hesitant about going here because of the mixed reviews.

Anyone else that has any experiences they would like to share or suggestions on menu items for us to order would be greatly appreciated. Its crunch time people! Crunch time! We leave in 4 days!

mickeymotto, I have found that different folks have different expectations and on any given day a restaurant can either wow or sour. It just might have been a bad day for us or them.

Our favorite restaurant at MGM happnes to be Prime Time. We also enjoy H&V. The atmosphere and food is excellent at PT although it depends on the who waits on you and what your expectations are but the food has always been great no matter what.

We used to tend to do a lot of buffets because it was a way of satisfying everyone's diverse tastes so H&V was a favorite for a very long time. The ambience is nothing to write home to mom about though, unless eating in a spartan diner appeals to you, and it might. :)

I hope you have a wonderful trip and maybe write a report on your findings when you return.
