We really like the uniqueness off this restaurant, so I have several exterior photos (and few interior ones too):

This one was actually taken from our balcony at SSR accross the waterway:

Here's the signage at Turf Club Bar & Grill at SSR:

I don't seem to have an exterior photo of Coral Reef, but I have one attempt at taking an interior photo of the aquarium (others have done much better) and a group photo of us in the lobby area by a giant octopus-shaped lamp that we thought was cool. :cool1:

Born & Raised in Gainesville, Georgia ('bout an hr NE of Hotlanna)

 i lived in gainesville from '97 to 2004!!!!!! we now live in jefferson, but DH still works in gainesville at the hunt tower. what a small world!!!!!! i'm a court reporter and i work in gainesville every now and then doing depositions and filling in for the court reporters there. mostly i work in barrow, jackson and banks counties, though. where do you work? where does your husband work? if you don't want to share, i totally understand. after all, you don't know me. and if you'd like to shoot me a PM instead, feel free! :goodvibes

mouseaddicts - LOVE the pics! there's a thread for posting pics of restaurants from the inside that you should check out and post your pics on......

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1116965

by the way, how did you like SSR? we're staying there in april and i can't wait!!!

Okay folks .... I'll put the restaurant pics on the other thread ....

We LOVE  SSR - it's our home DVC resort. We've stayed there twice - in a 1BR Villa both times. The bus service there is quite efficient. The resort itself is pretty spread out, but not too difficult to get around. We were in Congress Park this year with a DTD view (request at check-in). Last year we stayed in The Paddock. The food court there is one of our favorites!

Here's an SSR thread you might want to check out: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1329308

THAT is hillarious!!! :lmao: I used to work in downtown Gainesville & LOVE Luna's! My brother had his wedding reception there and DH & I ate dinner there for our anniversary last yr. I used to eat lunch there about once a week when I worked in town ... there & the Collegiate (SP?) grill ..... yummy!

My father retired in '97 as the Chief Probation Officer for the Piedmont Circuit (Banks, Barrow & Jackson Counties)! His main office was in Winder, but had one in Jefferson too! We lived in G'ville b/c he didn't want his probationers to be in the same town with his family ... understandable.

I now live just over the Lumpkin Co. line off Hwy 60 but I work next to Perimeter Mall - accross from the King & Queen bldgs. DH works at Kubota - I'm sure you're familiar with them. He's a QC inspector on the RTV line.

Sorry y'all ...... "IT'S A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL..." :rotfl:

i didn't mean to run you off! please post your pics here, too, if you want. i just figured people on that thread would love to see them too!
Real sweet Dawn. Way to go to run someone off...kidding. :lmao:

Not that I haven't had my share of controversy on this thread. I questioned someone for posting a picture of Olive Garden food and I got flamed big time for that to where I was almost in tears.

It's best to keep it to Disney food porn though I guess....

to other food porn addicts: this is the last OT post from me......i promise!!!!

okay.....i used to work at luna's when i was in college. that was back in the fall of '97 i think. ray (my DH) eats at the collegiate all the time...he loves greasy food!

the piedmont circuit now has 3 probate judges. how funny! i mostly work for the superior court judges, but i have done a couple of probate hearings in barrow county for judge brown. i'm sure your dad probably knows her!

i just did a deposition at an office very near to the king and queen buildings on hammond drive.....the building where the porshe corporate offices are. i know a guy who works at kubota - tony grizzle. at least he used to work there. his wife, alicia, used to work with me. they also just opened up a new kubota factory like 2 miles from my house in jefferson!

wow........too wierd! well, hi neighbor!!!!!

Next up is lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern (still on the DDP)

DH had the Tavern Fried Cheese for his appetizer:

DisneyJuly2007594.jpg

This was super yummy & I highly recommend it if you want to share an app! :thumbsup2

I had the Maryland Crab Cake (super yummy!)

DisneyJuly2007595.jpg

DH had the New England Pot Roast :thumbsup2

DisneyJuly2007596.jpg

I had the Pilgrim's Feast :thumbsup2

DisneyJuly2007597.jpg

Both kids also had the Sliced Turkey
DisneyJuly2007598.jpg

(basically a kids' version of the Pilgrim's Feast) This would be DD's plate with the HEALTHY sliced apples & fruit cup!

For dessert, DH & I both had the Butter Griddled Pound Cake

DisneyJuly2007603.jpg

("pound" is definitely an understatement ... I gained AT LEAST 5!!!)

Here is DS's Ice Cream Sundae

DisneyJuly2007602.jpg

(another version of Mount Louie-Louie for those of you following along!)

This is the CS/Food Court area at SSR ... Artist Palette

I had the Roast Beef and Bleu Sandwich (no trip complete w/o one!) with a sugar cookie for dessert

DisneyJuly2007626.jpg

DH had the Chef's Special of the Day - I believe this was 1/2 Roasted Chicken (he got extra potatoes instead of veggies upon request - again, no extra charge)

DisneyJuly2007629.jpg

DD had the kids Mini HotDogs

DisneyJuly2007628.jpg

DS had the kids Mac and Cheese

DisneyJuly2007627.jpg

DH's brownie - which was pretty dry (the sugar cookie which was MUCH better)

DisneyJuly2007630.jpg

Okay - this is over in Adventureland for those of you who may not have had the pleasure. DH's favorite snack is the Dole Whip! This time we got a Pineapple Float & a Root Beer Float. DH went back & got a Coke Float, but I didn't take a pic of it! I'm going to go ahead with a pic of the sign since I only have 1 of the "food" for this one ...

DisneyJuly20071080.jpg

DisneyJuly2007645.jpg

This was the 1st time we've eatten here! What a blast!!! :woohoo:

We paid OOP for this meal, so there aren't as many "extras"

I had the Nachos (on the appetizer menu, but I had them as my meal - yummy & NOT spicy at all!) :thumbsup2

DisneyJuly2007756.jpg

DS had the Cheeseburger

DisneyJuly2007755.jpg

DH & DD both had the All-You-Care-To-Eat Canyon Skillet

DisneyJuly2007754.jpg

DisneyJuly2007760.jpg

(comes with the cornbread & slaw) The only difference in the adult entree & kids is the price - literally! The two of them were served from the same skillet.

Here's an up-close of DS's watermelon (served with the cheeseburger)

DisneyJuly2007752.jpg

And the Worms in Dirt he had for dessert:

DisneyJuly2007753.jpg

Well here goes, its my first attempt to post a picture, hope it works!

This is from Le Cellier last year, my daughter found the chocolate mousse highly amusing :lmao:
145148mousse1.jpg

Sorry about this next one, you will get a crick in your neck, but I can't figure out how to turn it round duh!
Anyway this is my son enjoying the dessert platter at le cellier, can't really remember what all the mini desserts were except from the creme brulee, it was fabulous!

All these photos look so good.
Since I can't have any of the yummy WDW stuff for awhile, I cheered myself up by making Disney shaped chocolates...lol So not really Disney Food, but they look very Disney and are made from the same molds used in the candy shops in WDW. =o)

A pretty blurry picture of some of the chocolate, that's Goofy and Minnie, Goofy has toffee in the middle and Minnie has mint.

Le Cellier Steakhouse
June 23, 2007

Bread sticks brought to our table. The "famous" pretzel bread
was there along with sourdough bread, and another I can't
remember (but no one ate).

P1000672.jpg

Butter that accompanied the breadsticks.
P1000673.jpg

Shrimp Cocktail with wasabi slaw and horseradish-chili sauce...$9.99

I did not care for this at all. The shrimp were too mushy and I did not like the spicy flavor,
even though I usually like spicy foods.

P1000676.jpg

Duck Two Ways. Duck confit and smoked duck breast with chambord syrup...$11.99
DH and DS(7) absolutely loved this!
P1000677.jpg

Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup made with Moosehead Beer and smoked bacon...child portion.
DS(7) would not eat this. I did not care for it but I am not a fan of cheese soup.
DH was too busy eating his duck to care to try it so it pretty much went untouched.
