Is there anyway not to be bugged at the Whispering Canyon Cafe?

Oh yeah!!! Those sausages and the pulled pork were just incredible.

I don't feel like we really got "bugged" at WC. Certainly not like at Prime Time Cafe. There they kept asking my DD to get her elbows off the table & even tho it was all in fun, she was NOT amused & doesn't ever want to go back. At WC our waiter was amusing but he didn't harrass us or anything. I think their jokes our very low key & they really don't "bug" you at all...unless you ask for ketchup! :thumbsup2

what's on the top dessert plate??? kiwi something??

Looks like chocolate dipped strawberries
That is exactly what it was. They did have fruit tarts on the 2nd plate. My friend had one that had rasberries, blueberries and something green but it looks more like a grape than kiwi.

The Fiesta Margarita looks delicious! How potent was it?

I had one and it was too strong for me to finish.

can 2 people split one of those skillets at WCC and save a TS or does everyone have to order their own? I was thinking that my DH and DS4 plus myself could share one of those and then pay for extra drinks and dessert (yea like you'd have room for dessert) OOP. I know my older 2 DS 17 would insist on having their own skillets. I am not trying to start a debate in the thread I was just curious.

The skillet is priced per person, not per skillet. If two people split one, you'll be "charged" 2TS.

When either my husband or I ordered one of these, we would take a piece of bacon (breakfast) or a rib (dinner) from spouse's skillet if it were just leftover. . We always had our own meal ordered too. No sharing because it's an all you can eat order.

Sorry, I am on a diet, and that is what I said when I saw those!! I am a HUGE mickey crispie with the chocolate ears fan!!!!

Something to think about your walking all day wouldnt those calories just b used up anyway.

Yeah! especially in the heat and humidity of July!! It's be my 1st time at WDW in the hot month of July!! Hope I last:)

Dining plan is a must! Too many reasons to be in an airconditioned restaurant.

:hyper: I can't wait to go to Disney. I got to try some of this food! It all looks so good! I should make a list of what we should try lol

I sure am sad that they changed up the menu so much that it barely has any seafood at all on it :( My son loves shrimp with pasta, but they dont even have that anymore! I'm seriously considering changing my ADR....and its his birthday wish, but i know he wont eat.

Thanks! The appetizer was possibly my favorite thing in Spoodles. If you've ever had really really awesome chicken francese, the sauce was very similar to that- lemony, tangy, with a sweet roasted garlic flavor, and definitely butter- yum!

I enjoyed everything there very much. When my boyfriend and I sat down and discussed which restaurants we wanted to return to, Spoodles and Kona were the two that we said we could not imagine skipping. They were our favorite meals.

I ordered the rigatoni, bf ordered the lemon chicken. Mine was rich, creamy, meaty and tasted of basil and sauteed portobello mushrooms.

The lemon chicken was good, the couscous was amazing! :wizard:

We ended up liking each other's entrees even more than our own, so we switched halfway through! All the entrees were very large here, though the shrimp appetizer was somewhat small. We could barely finish- and only did that because we ate very slowly over a long time.

I am hoping to ask for dinner sized portions of the shrimp with sides of the couscous for our next meal because they were truly amazingly delicous. My boyfriend wants to get (2) entrees of the rigatoni so he can take one back to the resort and warm it up in the food court later on! :rotfl:

They must have a fabulous chef. I would like for them to add more choices to their menu- though I hear they have unpublished vegetarian selections as well- I want to go back a million times, but I also like to try new things.

Those desserts were to die for! :goodvibes

Our waiter was wonderful. We ate for almost 2 hours, and drank about 8 cups of tea each, and he cheerfully provided not only free refills, but new cups, and new hot water filled teapots each time. I loved this leisurely meal. Now I am fantasizing about going back!

that did it. I'm getting rid of Coral Reef on our first day (does spoodles do lunch with the same menu) we should be hungry after our all morning flight, can get to the boardwalk and eat before going to Epcot! On the day we were going to eat at Brown Derby, were changing that to Mama Melrose (or skipping the fantasmic package and doing 50's prime time) and eat at Kona isntead! :smooth:

Definitely don't swap Brown Derby out for Mama Melrose. Bleh. 50s Prime Time is at least great at what it is.
