A good cheeseburger in the sunshine most definitely fits my idea of the perfect lunch :thumbsup2

Great pictures, thank you: I'd love to go to Beaches & Cream but I don't think I'll have the chance this trip. Is it easy to find? We are staying off-property but it would be cool to go on our AK day. Do you need reservations for lunch? We would be eating at about 2-3pm?

Yachtsman Steakhouse:

Bread with Butter and Roasted Garlic - YUM!!!
Yachtsmanrollsbutterandroastedgarli.jpg

Tomato Salad - mixed tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, tomato vinaigrette, shaved Asiago cheese - YUM!!!!!

Caesar salad:

I am almost embarrassed to say that I totally forgot to take photos of the steaks. DH got the huge porterhouse with fingerling potatoes, and I got the ribeye with horseradish mashed potatoes. Both were really, really delicious!

Triple Berry Sorbet:

Yachtsman Sundae (white chocolate, chocolate, and strawberry gelato, carmelized banana, dark chocolate sauce, cream puff):

All Desserts - DH was mortified when I stood there and took this photo in the entry way... :rotfl: :

It is very easy to find - it would work out really well for you on an Epcot day, as you can walk through the international gateway and get right to the Beach Club.

If you drive there on your AK day, just follow the signs to the Beach Club (Epcot Resorts), and then go through the lobby out to the pool. It's right there on the building side of the huge pool. 2-3 in the afternoon is a good time to go. They don't take ADR's and are tiny, but if you go at an off time like that, you should have a short wait.

The ice cream sundaes are to die for!!!

Spoodles...we liked this so much, we went twice. DEFINITELY a great DDP value!!!

The first time we went. DS slept through the meal. The second time, he ate with us. Since DH and I both ordered the same entree both times, I'll just show it once.

Focaccia and tapenade - not an appetizer, they just serve this:
SpoodlesFocacciaandTapenade.jpg

Four cheese flatbread (DH's first appetizer) We thought it would be wonderful but it tasted like hot cream cheese :crazy2:

Greek Salad - DH's appetizer the second visit:
SpoodlesGreekSalad.jpg

Mediterranean Dips (I got this both times - YUM!). Pitas with hummus, tzaziki sauce, feta dip, spicy hummus, olives and almonds

Pepperoni flatbread (DS's appetizer)

DS got Mickey Macaroni and Cheese and I forgot the photo...

My son with a Beaver Tail. (It looked much better than it tasted)I'm sorry it's so large. I haven't figured out how to make the pictures smaller. :badpc:

was this recent as i thought they no longer sold these( missing my chance last time i thought or maybe not if it wasn't that great)

if your pics are on photobucket you can go to "edit" above the picture and it will take you to a place you can resize it...if not sometimes the same place you type in the name to "save as" it has a place to change the type of file and a place to resize it or if you have a photo program( like i have hp image zone) it has a resize option under the edit section

That picture was taken during our Easter 2004 trip.

Thanks for the photobucket tip.

I'm playing around with it now. :yay:

Beaches and Cream:Cheeseburger - okay, I have a question about this...it looks like a totally ordinary burger, doesn't it? But am I the only one who believes it is thisclose to the perfect lunch? Maybe it's the location....
BeachesandCreamCheeseburgerandfries.jpg

I couldnt agree with you more...me, my brother and my father agree that the cheeseburger from Beaches and Cream ranks very high for the best lunch (my brother even says it's his favorite all time burger...they must sprinkle it with pixie dust or something!)

That beef flatbread looks fabulous! Did it taste as good as it looks?

Great thread! Haven't decided where all I'm eating next weekend except for Garden Grill, Columbia Harbour House and Cosmic Ray's. Any requests for pics? Oh am also planning on doing desserts around the World so I'll get some pics of those too.

It was a little hard to eat gracefully, but yes...it was wonderful! The flatbread was a soft pita, the greens had a vinaigrette on them, the rotisserie beef was medium rare and tender and the chimichurri sauce was really yummy.

The strawberry shortcake with it was divine!!!

The index shows Big River Grill on page 175 but I don't see any mention of it there. Does anyone know where the picture for that restaurant are?

On p. 175 there is a picture of the Blackened Salmon and Caesar salad from Big River Grill.

I was watching Disneyworld Unwrapped on the food network last night. Does anyone go to Jiko or something like that. I'd be interested in hearing what people think.

Thanks! (I'll also do a search up top, but someitmes it doesn't work for me.)

Okay, it worked, and there were some pics, but what do people feel about this place? I know it is slightly :offtopic: . Thanks
