Dh and ds's are going as soccer players, I am wearing a soccer referee shirt and dd is going to be a cheerleader for the boys team

Thanks to Kellogs Canada dh & the boys are getting matching Adidias Soccer shirts for free!!! So their costumes are costing us nothing, since they already have all the other soccer gear from playing in a league.

I will have to buy my referee shirt and dd's cheerleader costume. I know soccer doesn't really have cheerleaders, but it's all I could think of for dd to fit in with the rest of us:)

Wow - cool!

I think that I'll go as Tinkerbell this year. My mom and husband are coming, so we're still working on costume idea for them - we have some ideas but are undecided.

I found a great website w/ photos of most wdw characters. It's good for costume ideas:

http://www.charactercentral.net/

I'm debating wearing an old Minnie Mouse costume I have or my regular clothes. The problem with my Minnie costume is its getting kind of short. If I wear it, I'll have to wear shorts under it. If I didn't wear the shorts, well...:upsidedow

I was hoping DH and I could go as a costumed couple, but he is very tall and super thin, and I am normal height and slightly overweight. I can't figure out anything!

DH and I are going as the Superfans. You know--those guys from Saturday Night Live who sat around and said "Da Bearsssss!"

I was expecting him to be somewhat reluctant about dressing up, so when he suggested this enthusiastically, who was I to argue?

Now I just have to track down Ditka mustaches and aviator sunglasses. Good thing I'm secure in my femininity! :rolleyes1

It's hard thinking of a costume that will be comfortable if the weather is 40 degrees or 90, rain or shine, where you can still climb in and out of a fiberglass log comfortably!

I had some fun ideas for the next time I go to MNSSHP in the future:

The 2010 Mad Hatter: Im actually thinking on buying a Mad Hatter hat and creating a homade Hatter costume this year,im not sure if I'll buy the version with the wig or just make my own hair messy, for the coat ill wear my green jacket with some button up shirt underneith, as for the make up im already pale so some eye shadow could finish the look.

Dr. Doofenshmirtz: very simple costume just need a white lab coat, purple or black make up to put around the eyes, black pants and shirt, and a messy do, it would give me excuse for slouching in public and you can add to the fun with a plush Perry doll or buy one of the toy laser guns from a light toy vendor and say its a ____inator.

Jack Skeleter: This is something funny I had an idea I had one afternoon when wearing my Jack Skeleton ears, why not parody the Mickey Mouse Club by wearing the ears and a shirt that had jacks head inplace of Mickeys and the Worlds Jack Skeletons Club and my name on the back (maybe even throw in Burton's where Disney's should be)

Alice, Belle, Snow White, or Sally : self explamitory

We are going with the Peter Pan theme.....DS3 will be Peter Pan, DD6 will be TInkerbell....desperately trying to convince DH to dress up as well, so he can be Captain Hook and I was thinking I could be Wendy. We will be at MNSSHP on 10/30. :daisy:

This is what we are thinking of doing too! But we are a family of five and we are all going around ds(4) because he wants to be the crocodile from peter pan. :) Let us know how it goes! Would love to see pictures after you go!

To follow the same Disney theme, I wanted my family to dress as Aerosmith, but they wouldn't go for it. :confused3Instead, we're Minnie Mouse (me), Alice (my daughter), Indiana Jones (my husband), Stitch (my older son), and Newt (my younger son). In previous years, we've gone as Mouseketeers and as escapees from the Jungle Cruise.

I think it's safe to say that we have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE what the heck we are going to go as this September, lol.

Any ideas? There will be just 4 of us, me (girl), and DH, and two boys (7 & 6). Thought about Alice In Wonderland, and that cast of characters but I don't think the boys would be happy with that at all, :rotfl:

Also thought Jedi Knights, but thought those may be a bit warm.

Any ideas?

We are a party of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids) and since I'm sure my DB would not wear a costume my DS and I decided that we would all get t-Shirts for the event the Guys will wear Jack and the Girls Sally - I think it will also be easier to find each other. Also tis the first trip for the kids and we don't want them overheated

My DH and myself will be going on October 12 and I will be going as a 1950's gal and I think my DH wants to go as a 1920's gangster without the gun. I don't need him scaring any children. We don't have his costume together yet but mine is complete.

My daughter wants to be Bo Peep (Toy Story) for Halloween. So for the MNSSHP we are doing a TS theme. My little guy will be Woody. My husband and I are going to be Ken and Barbie. Hoping my ILs will run with the Mr & Mrs Potato Head idea I have swirling around in my head.

I'm a quick and hassle free type person so i'm going for the pirate look.

Eh I can't figure out how to turn it. I saved it the right way and its in photobucket the right way but it hates me. :confused3

It seems like every year people go on the great search for a Wendy gown! This is just a Wendy gown I had made for me as part on an organization I am affiliated with.

The nightgown is based on a simple nightgown pattern I found at JoAnn Fabrics. The nightgown is essentially what you see here, only I added about two feet on to the hem and the original design called for a button closure down the front, so I just made the front one piece and made sure my head fit through the hole! It was a very simple costume to make (from I was told) and it is a very comfortable costume.

I also sprayed my hair brown while in costume and after two hours I promptly washed my hair because I was so afraid my blonde hair would absorb the color! Now when I play Wendy, I think I am just going to stick being blonde. After all in the animated film she is sort of an in between blonde/brunette. :cutie:

At the moment we are all going as deceased entertainment icons.

DDad (63) going as Walt Disney
DMom (61) going as Vivienne Leigh in GWTW
Me (34) going as Judy Garland in WoO
DH (36) going as Groucho Marx
Dsis (37) going as Marilyn Monroe in Seven Year Itch
DBIL (40) going as James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause.

I have fallen in love with an outfit to wear, but I wanted some advice before I went ahead and bought it

http://www.buycostumes.com/ProductD...PCatID=adultcostumes&ccatid=adulthorrorgothic

Although it is technically (!) a Disney costume, I was wondering if they would not allow it, as I know know it is ruining the Disney image!

Any thoughts or advice?

To me, that looks like a Haunted Mansion ballgown! I have the Cinderella dress from that costume line, but I love the "Belle" one so much more!

I'll be there decked out in my Indygear!

Can't wait to go! I'm gonna have so much fun....

Think they'll let me bring me whip?
