Post Your ME Experience HERE!

SORRY, but I was there. my wife and I and another couple got on at BWV (7:20 am) and the bus driver went right over to the Swan to pick up no-one. I even asked what his route was and he said he went to the YC first, Dophlin second BWV third and last to the SWan. Why go to the Dolphin and not the Swan next since it's right there. Waste of time going to BW and then back to the Swan.

I thought the route was YC, BC/BCV, BWI/BWV and CSR. (not in any order)

I don't think anyone is questioning whether he actually stopped there but why he stopped there since S/D is not on the route. You would think the drivers would be given/know the correct route :confused3 It's not like it's that complex, right? Thanks for posting your experience.

is it possible that for the airport return, the same buses are picking up paying customers at the Swan/Dolphin?

Friday, 5/6 departure (11:30 AM flight). Check bags at 8:00 AM (no problem). That part works well. The voucher said busses come every 30 minutes beginning at 7:10 AM. We're out front at 8:10 and the valet says the 8:10 has not come yet. 65 minutes later and no busses and several run-arounds, I was actually given cash for a cab.
Did your return bus tickets (vouchers?) give you a specific departure time?

There will definitely be problems if people are not signed up for specific times. Admittedly some people will be scheduled to leave 3-1/2 hours in advance of flight time instead of 3 hours, but without sign ups what happens if a bus is too full? Give the guest cash for a cab? Run a white with red and purple trim Disney transport bus like magic on demand?

Not sure but maybe Swan and Dolphin have been added to the participating resorts list (at extra cost to their owners).

Next trip: Mid May '05. Off site so can't use Magical Express.

I posted this on another thread, but thought it should go here as well. A friend of mine arrived yesterday and this is her ME experience...

A friend of mine arrived yesterday and I talked to her late last night. She did NOT have luggage tags and she had to wait in the first line to talk to someone about her luggage and then in a seperate line to check in for the busses. By the time she boarded the bus it had been 1 hour and 20 minutes since her flight. By the time she got to her hotel it had been 2 hours and 30 minutes since she landed. She got into her room at 4:45 yesterday afternoon and and 9pm her luggage still had not arrived. At 11pm it finally made it to her room and she found out from the bellboy that it had been at the resort since 7pm but they did not have enough people on staff to distribute it quickly so it took another 4 hours to get it to her room. She is staying at CBR.

I know that it will get better, but it's going to take some time and I *don't* think that it will be better by Thursday, so we are taking a towncar, like usual.

No, I wasn't questioning whether you were correct with your facts or not. I'm just scratching my head because I wanted to split my stay with a deluxe and Dolphin was in my budget (other WDW deluxes too expensive this go around) but didn't want to give up the free ME service. I'm sure this is just a case of the typical Disney run around where they state one thing, but we hear reports that they do the exact opposite. I asked ME specifically about Swan/Dolphin to see if there was any change regarding S/D, but Rob at ME said no. So there you go. Who knows what the policy really is and it'll probably be revised umpteen times before they work out the bugs.

A last minute call from the dispatcher may have come in saying go back to the Swan.

Maybe one of the privileges Mears got when winning the bus and drivers contract was mixing ME guests and their own customers as demand warranted, using buses of either color, so long as expected ME scheduling and travel times were still met.
