For those that have booked Special Events, how do you handle NO Refunds.

It is all very expensive to invest in, we are never sure we will not have to cancel with elderly parents, and work.

They are serious about no refunds. I guess you could ask for refunds if you cancel due to an emergency. But when I book, I consider that either I'm going to the event or I eat the cost. If an emergency happens I might try asking for a refund but I wouldn't count on getting it. They are very clear when you book that the events are not refundable.

If you're not reasonably sure you can go to an event I would suggest you not book it unless you think you can find someone to pay you for the event and check in as you.

Thanks, our lives are just not that set due to family. We will have to settle for the general events or hope for a last minute situation.

You can try booking some events when you arrive. Party for the Senses often has availability same day. You're likely out of luck on the Wine View Lounge though.

speaking of cancelling...just found out with my new job that i'm going to have to push my trip back a week! ugh. anybody have experience with just transferring? i was gonna be at the 3D dessert on oct 21, but now will need it on oct 28. or am i just out of luck? i know i can call and find out, but just figured if anyone had done it before...

Well you know with Disney anything is possible, but I asked about this when I called to get info about booking, cancellations and such.

And I was told no, you can't cancel, you can't transfer and you can't move to another date. That the transaction is final.

Honestly I was shocked, because I see people who have booked something for every day and that is some major money to be tied up with no way of cancelling or changing or transferring.

Go to Home Depot and get the Alien Green Mickey Head Paint chip. Cut it out and safety pin it to your shirt.

Maybe we will see you there, under 100 days now, we intend on using 32 snack credits between me and DW during the week trying out all the Food and Wine Fest treats. We were there last year same time thought the temps reached the 90's it was less humid them in Sept.

I couldn't get into the one on 10/24, and had to reschedule my SWA flight to make this one! We're at CBR 10/22, and then BLT 10/23 to 1/24.
