[The Expert]

i'm trying to decide whether i want to do a pfts...i'm a solo traveler, so would that be awkward? is it worth it?

I actually think PFTS is one of the LEAST awkward events you could attend. It's very much a cocktail party atmosphere with people milling around, sharing tables for short periods, then moving on. You make lots of friends waiting in line for the food and wines. I say go for it!

My husband and I will be attending for our 10th or 11th year (off and on). We are at BWV early in the fest, move to AKV when we bring a big family group, then finally move to BLT for the last weekend (hence the gap in events mid-week).

Oct 28 Adventures in signature dining at Kouzzina (admittedly we didn't have a great meal there last time but DH has a crush on Cat Cora)
Oct 29 Celebrating friends and family in the kitchen (again Cat Cora)

What do y'all think about getting a simple glow bracelet in the same color that we could loop on the stem of our wine glass at PFTS to let each other know we are Disboard members?

I guess lime green Mickey heads are no more. How about a piece of lime green jewelry - maybe not for the guys. Too subtle? I promise, mine won't be matching my outfits.

Are the neon yellow/green Mickey Head pins over on eBay the ones you are talking about? There seem to be quite a few of them available for a reasonable price. Or maybe we could make our own pin that glows, so it's easily seen at night time events? There will be two of us at Disney's 3D Dessert Discovery on October 15th. I can hardly wait. We have never been to the Food and Wine Festival so we hope to have a fantastic time.

You get cheese if you don't have the Wine View Lounge...apparently not the same KIND of cheese, but you do get cheese.

Y'all keep it coming! Did anybody have thoughts on how we might identify ourselves so we can all say "Hi" at the events?

I like the idea of green glowing bracelets or necklaces which can be wrapped around the wine glass stem (or a wrist or camera strap or purse etc). The problem is though that they all are sold in bulk at least online. The smallest quantity I found was 5 at Party City for 99 cents which would be perfect because I'm guessing each glowing item only lasts one evening.

I have one of those cast member pins with the Lime Mickey Head. I generally keep it on my purse while out in the parks.
