Post your DP budget, I'd really like to do this but don't know if it is in the budget. I like the idea of a Wishes one at Sago Cay b/c if I am correct,. no viewing fee, don't need to pay transportation either right?
O and pics are appreciated, mini food porn ;)
And if there's any menus that would be great too, I think I found one but its from 09 and I don't know if it outdated.

I had a rehearsal/welcome DP (but with appetizers instead of dessert) at Morocco. Here is the budget:

And a few pics from that:

I had a dinner at Sago Cay during the fireworks, and here is my BEO for that:

I have pictures and menus in my TR (in my signature below)

Yes for a Wishes DP you don't have to pay for transport or a viewing fee and you can use an outside photographer.

Sago Cay has and f&b min of $500. And with your guest count of 20 people you will be able to stick to the minimum.

It costs another $500 to have the music piped in though

I know I have asked this before, but who do you contact to book a DP at Sago Cay if you are not going through DFTW? I seem to be re-thinking my decision to not have a DP...........

We had a Sago Cay DP the night before the wedding as a Welcome Party for our guests.

I was thinking this too....
is there any way you could have a DP, and have a dinner at citricos as your reception and THEN NOT have to meet the $75000 DFTW min that is needed when doing a catered event?

If you contact Citricos directly and work with them you won't have to meet the $7500 butif you want a DP on your wedding day I don't know if you'd have to meet the $7500.

All I could say is....YUM! Looks so delish! Now you made that menu up yourself right?
No, that menu is the dark & white chocolate fondue and assorted pastries, I believe it's Menu 3.

I'm not a big dessert person so I didn't know what I wanted so I just went with what sounded good and what I knew I would enjoy and the fondue was DELICIOUS!

Oh my... that's the DP I want!!! And you've totally resold me on it. Thank you (or curse you?! :)) for that!

Hummm I think if you are going through DFTW and have the dessert party on the same night as your wedding you would have to go with the $7500.00 minimum.
I am having my ceremony at the Swan. In fact, it was the fact that DFTW started this business of the $7500.00 that made me turn away from a DFTW towards the Swan in the first place!!
My ceremony is at 3.00pm at the Swan with a cocktail hour at Mizner's bar from about 4.15(ish) until dinner at 5.30pm. I had thought that I did not want a DP as I could only have a 'Wishes' one (I refuse to remove my gown to get into Epcot!!) and would, therefore, need to pay to have the music piped in (I believe that 'Wishes' is just not the same without the music!!). Now I am having second thoughts and I am undecided - it really depends on how much money I have left.
Because I am not a DFTW bride I can book a DP on the day and just call it a get-together. I am pretty sure that you wouldn't get away with that being a DFTW bride and it would be considered a 'catered event' and trigger the $7500.00 minimum spend, despite your arrangeing your actual reception meal independantly.
Good luck with it all

Here is our estimated budget for our Sago Cay dessert party that we are having on December 3rd:

Here is a llink to the menu for Sago Cay dessert party menus:

We are having "A Kiss Goodnight"

On a side note, our coordinator put the wrong number of guests, if should be 20 so the small party fee will be taken off.

thank you, everything that states pricing is so helpful in all of this lol.

You should definitely be able to have a DP as a catered event and not part of your DFTW, I know if its at a park you can't wear your wedding attire though if its a catered event and not a DFTW.

So for the mickey ice cream bars... they are really $5.25 a piece? I think they are only like $3 in the store at the hotels...

Does anyone know if this is just because 1 was ordered, is it cheaper if you get numerous bars? My family is BIG fans of Mickey Bars!
