Post your Disney Dining Plan snack credit PIX here!

It's not on the confirmed list of 2009 snacks, so I'm just guessing "no," but I hope I'm wrong!

Here's the list by the way: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2067447

The list is not complete, it's only what has been reported recently. There's a chance it might be a snack. The cinnamon roll is a snack item and if I remember correctly the French Toast Loaf was the same price as the cinnamon roll.

I'll find out in June. If it's a snack or not, we're still ordering it!

How do you know what is considered a snack while at the parks or DTD? Do you have to just keep asking? (I hope not). Is it posted anywhere in the different places? I am so confused about my snack credits.

Jen

The traditional snack items (water, fruit, pretzels, etc...) have the snack symbol next to their name on the menu. It's a small purple square.

What I did was become familiar with the items listed on the "Approved Snack List" (or whatever the name is:rotfl2: ) http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2067447

It helps you identify other items as snacks that you wouldn't expect. For instance, I would have never guessed that the Fried Rice at Yak & Yeti CS is a snack item. My DS1 had it for lunch one day.

I'm guessing that all "snack" type items (pastries) $4 and under are consider snack items. But to answer your question, yes you need to always double check and ask!

hi, on the menu there will be a purple square with white writing next to the item if it is considered a snack on the dining plan. So if you see that symbol then you can get it, just tell them when you are at the register that you are using a snack credit for it.

I got a cheese danish from a cart in Animal Kingdom, very tasty by the way, and i said snack credit but luckily i checked my receipt before i got too far away b/c they charged it to my room! I went back and told them it was for a snack credit so they credited my room key and then didnt charge me. So be sure you say snack credit and then check.

Subbing!!! i can't believe how much good stuff is considered a snack!

Are there any snacks that are prewrapped that we can take home? because with the Deluxe DDP I'm sure we're going to be too full to use all our snack creddits.

yes there are pre-wrapped things. we were on deluxe also and so we brought home medium sized lollipops, lots of Minnie's bake shop cookies -which are so fabulous, get TONS of them. We also got a pack of granola and then a pack of almonds, with chip and dale on them. Those things didnt have the snack icon by it, and some CM are like oh those aren't on the plan, but then they ring them up and are like Oh, thought they weren't.

I know it's not a very exciting snack, but does anybody have a picture of the popcorn that comes in the buckets you could save and take home that I keep reading about? And if so, where can you find the popcorn at the parks?

The french toast loaf used to be included as a snack credit but it has been reported several times that this is no longer the case.:sad2:

The popcorn buckets are sold at all of the theme parks and in DTD. We were there over the Christmas break, and they no longer let you use a snack credit to buy them with. This was true of so many of the items that we had been looking forward to!:sad1:

This thread is FANTASTIC!!! :goodvibes I can feel myself going into a diabetic coma::yes::

Thanks, I didn't think it was. But there's a lot of other stuff there that IS considered a snack item, so it's not too inconvenient to have to pay for the French Toast Loaf.

I've never seen the buckets on the snack list. We were always given the scoop of popcorn.

I have many buckets, and they're very nice to use at home. They're just a real pain to carry all day at the parks. :headache: I prefer the disposable container :thumbsup2
