I inadvertantly hijacked the prime rib vs. beef tenderloin thread with my Christmas menu! All the recipes ended up there too.

Christmas Eve we are having our traditional stuffed shells, caesar salad & chiabatta. We open gifts on Christmas Eve, so A one-dish meal is key. Can't open presents until dinner is all cleaned up!

Christmas lunch is the only meal I'm involved in planning - it's next door at my parents' house. There will be about 20 of us.

We're having:

baked ham
roast turkey with stuffing
baked macaroni & cheese pie
sweet potato and pineapple pie
corn souffle
pumpkin fritters
broccoli with cheese sauce
tossed salad
garlic bread

And for dessert:

chocolate icebox cake (like a trifle, made with sponge cake, chocolate cream and rum)
mini cheesecakes
individual creme brulees or creme caramels (still deciding)
mince pies and ice cream

Christmas dinner will be at DH's aunt's house, and the main course menu will be very similar, as all that stuff is very traditional here. Dessert may have some differences, but will include mince pies for sure.

everyone elses menu sounds better than mine.. I was planning on the same boring menu that we have EVERY Thanksgiving and Christmas..

hmmmm.. now you guys have me thinking I need to do something different.. :teeth:
