Post your car rental dates & rates?

I have a reservation with Alamo for a compact (with a coupon for a free upgrade from Costco) for 6 days, total with taxes and all the other surcharges is $185, which I think is kind of high.

I'll keep looking, I have plenty of time.

Donna,
Thanks. I thought I had checked Alamo but this time I got the $90 rate. It also reminded me to check my rate again for October & it was $30 lower! Thanks again.

used the BJ's code and free day coupon and the total came to 188.13 (including all those taxes and fees). It was higher two days ago, about 60.00 if memory serves.bold bold bold

Well, I did call Alamo today and upgraded to full-size from mid-size (just stressing over luggage for three in a vehicle) and the price is $58 less. (would have been $78 less if I stayed with Mid-size). So that is pretty good. $245 total for 9 days -Full size.
I will keep checking. I too used a coupon - one free day.
Well, keep me posted how to seek out a better price. I sure am willing to keep working at it! :Pinkbounc :wave2: :wave2:

Refresh my memory, Please!

Shuttles are involved in all car rentals @ MCO...

The counters are in the airport - but - after registration - you get on a shuttle to get the car???

It's been 4 years and many other vacations since WDW....

When are you going? What are your dates? What rate code what coupon. Doing it by phone rather than making a new reservation usually gets a higher rate.

No, not all rentals require a shuttle. National, Alamo, Dollar, L&M,Budget and Dollar all have cars at the airport. No shuttles needed.

Again, Please Refresh my Memory...

Are the cars for the "In Terminal" companies actually in the Terminal? Just walk from the counter directly to the car?
I thought I remember still having to get on a shuttle?
Maybe I am thinking about returning the car?

Thanks!

PS - Is Alamo "In Terminal"?

In order for meaningful comparisons please include ALL TAXES in your post.

If your TA states she/he cannot include taxes, please note that your Quote is Before Taxes.

Thanks!

Yes, Alamo is in the terminal, I think I listed that previously.
There is NO shuttle involved at all with onsite car rental companies at MCO. The list I previously posted are all on site and all are shuttle less.

I've been having a hard time with May 2 to 7. The best I could find with National is $197 incl tax. That's Emerald Aisle, Intermediate. I got a discount with the Emerald Club code and a free day certificate from renting last fall. Every other code I try is higher. I usually pay about $125 for this time of year.

I posted the above in February on page 1. Today I was able to get my res down to $119 with the Priceless Code and the free day coupon. Patience pays off! :D

Just got back last night.

National @ Dolphin Resort
10 days over Easter
Fullsize car (Brand new Chevy Impala)
$245.00 all taxes and surcharges included.

mom_rules......what codes/discounts/coupons did you use???
That is a great price.
I can't seem to get it below $302 for 10 days in June. I would think over Easter break would be more expensive or at least the same as June.

Please let me know how you got that price.
Thanks.
